As is Struijk from a defensive pov.... key block from their one good chance

Bannan has been quiet so far, that's why.

Didn't have much coice with Ampadu plating at CB for most of it.

Aaronson has made a huge difference - he is everywhere. He has one hell of an engine that lad. Bannon is not getting a sniff BA is all over him.

Just watching replay of goal for first time. Excellent work by Aaronson. Started that move from right back then busted a gut to get into the goal scoring position

Reo-Coker on US commentary - That's why he's playing instead of Piroe. Because with Piroe you wouldn't get that.

Attacking full backs might've passed some by.
It's how we also got our goal with their fb's caught out.

Pep n Klopp know a thing abart it, along with Bert of course.

We did that quite a few times last season in matches we were dominating.

I find it stupid.

BA seems to offer more than Piroe at the 10 by improving players' chances around him.

They will play with more purpose 2nd half - need to keep it tight initially and do them on the break.

The crossing from the right side needs to be in front of our attacking line, too often it’s been behind. Get that right and we go home with the 3 points. Joseph doing well for my money. Rodon looks back on it too.
I really like Joseph's work rate and hustle. I was really critical of him against Brom because he didn't get involved. Bamford came on and won more balls than Joseph did. Seems like it's been a conscious effort by Joseph / instructions from Farke to come deeper and challenge for the ball

Willy's perception and pass created that goal imo.

DDB220 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 7:52 pm That is the idea mate - the FB’s push on and the two holding midfield drop back to create a back 4 or sometimes just Amps to make a 3. But it is causing them far more issues than it is us.
I've give up trying DDB, but fair play to you😂

He's making a massive difference, far more positive. And his rotation with James and Gnonto is good.

Different type of player. But industry can be contagious - particularly in the press.
It helps that they are not composed in possession.
