Anyone know if relegation is a risk this season? There was a restructuring last season and no relegation to worry about. Wondering if the same applies this season. In which case it allows us another year of rebuilding the 21's with youngsters from the 18s. If there is relegation, then obviously there's a little more emphasis on results.

There is no relegation from Premier League 2 (PL2) because the format has been changed to a single division with no promotion or relegation. The title is decided by a single elimination play-off between the top 16 teams, with teams drawn against each other based on their league positions.
The new format includes all 26 Category One Academies in a single division, eliminating the promotion and relegation between the two tiers of the previous system. The new format also gives teams more fixtures, with 20 different opponents compared to 13 in Division 1 and 10 in Division 2

Also

Promotion and relegation across two divisions removed

All 26 Category One Academies compete in a single league

Teams will be seeded based on multi-year performance

Fixtures drawn from five pots based on seeding

A minimum of 20 games will be played against all sides in the same pot and some in other pots

The top 16 sides at the end of the initial 20-game run will qualify for the play-off positions

Teams finishing inside the top 12 will also be invited to the 2024/25 Premier League International Cup

Appreciate your updates. Not really had time this season.

What happened to the 18's? Did they move all the best players to the 21's?

I'd imagine there's some crossover, like last season but we've not really added anything at the 21 level (18-20.) I personally think we're at the weakest, at that level, we have been since Rads and Orta brilliantly rebuilt the youth teams

A respectable 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool.

Apparently unlucky not to come away with all three points.
