1. It wasn't a hoof it was a measured ball out
2. It found it's man (completed pass) and we could easily have launched an attack at that point

I'm guessing you were fuming with that pass that ended up on Firpo's foot leading to the first goal..

Pascal may have been culpable for allowing Baah to beat him outside but Baah is quick and strong and I'd prefer to credit him with a good goal than look at any small error
No, not kidding.

Ramazani did more good pieces of play whilst only on the pitch for 14 minutes.

Same, can be said for Joseph & James in their 20 minutes spell, as opposed to 70 minutes of virtually nothing from Piroe.

Joel is generally the least involved player in our squad

It's been a similar pattern for much of the season.

His goals have been a joy to watch, three of the four scored when coming on as a sub for twenty minutes or less.
Because you don't like Piroe so see what you want to see.

Him and the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz could be twins, it's the one thing he's most definitely lacking - Intelligence.
Bamford has it, but can't finish and is a skiver.
Joseph has it, but is currently suffering from barndooritis.
They all have differing attributes, they will all play their part this season, the manager is expertly managing them all with commonsense.
If you can't see that Piroe is a phenomenally intelligent player I don't know what else can say.

He's got a better Championship goalscoring record than Bamford, a better assist record than Bamford.

Despite playing for a lower mid table squad most of the time or in midfield as opposed to top 3 teams as Bamford has.

But yeah he's got no footballing brain just luck and hit and hope.

weasel wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 4:48 pm I think you will find that I said if it had been Pablo playing that pass the cream explosion would have occured.

Apart from that I am fairly much in agreement. It is like Piroe is not allowed to miss a chance. The chance last ngiht was made harder because it ran away from Gnonto rather than it being passed to him so Piroe was hitting it and likely half expecting Gnonto to be swinging his foot at it too so he wasn't ever going to be striking it as cleanly as if it had been passed to him. If he scores that then people would have said he had a decent game and ultimately that is what strikers are judged on.

I think we should just be glad that we have both Piroe and Joseph and also hopefully Bamford can get back to the same level of fitness that he got to last season and can have one of his streaky runs of goals. I think all three will have a part to play this season and all three can blow hot and cold, like Jaydog chewing on a mint (whilst performing sexual favours obviously - it should go without saying but sometimes I fear I am too subtle).
I think because Farke by his own admission played Piroe out of position almost his entire time here and Piroe cost a lot of money he's been labelled a flop.

So now no matter what he does he's that flop.

Every negative is amplified.

Every positive is begrudgingly.

And he doesn't run around lots and look busy which upsets the average English football fan.

Jaydog strikes me as more of a Werther's Original man tbh.

'Phenomenally' Is just your view.
And a wrong choice of word.
You just make 'stuff' up as you go.
Next you'll be telling us his IQ level on anything but football no doubt.
Anyone can have a better record than Bamford, he plays but twice a year.
Atm Piroe is looking nothing more than a poacher from the 70's.

Very opinionated for a newbie.

You related to Kenny?

My "opinions" are fact checked and using my eyes not my own biased views.

Piroe has a better overall Championship record than Bamford.

If Farke can't get the best out of Piroe then that us on the manager, Russell Martin had no issue with lesser players so the fault ultimately lays with Farke if you think Piroe is a problem.

Farke and the club spent a near record fee on him, it he doesn't fit the style the fault is plenty of people's, Piroe isn't one.

I'm an opinionated person full stop.

Nothing to do with liking or disliking a player.

I've praised him when he had two or three decent games, he scored some lovely goals.

I call him as I see him. Piroe goes missing far too often.

Last night felt like we were playing with ten men!

One nice flick & one decent pass is nowhere near enough you'd expect from your main striker.

He WAS poor yesterday nobody has disagreed on that.

But it was 1 game . . . . .

And your notes don't take into account things he does that don't directly involve the ball do they.

The runs he makes in behind that the pass doesn't come, positions he takes up when pass doesn't come, runs he makes that drag people out of position but don't involved the ball.

It's all a matter of opinion.

If Piroe could find consistent form for 90 mins i'm sure the manager would sit up and take notice.
Up to now his best contributions are coming from the benchagainst tired legs.
Something hasn't gelled just yet.
