Bristol City are not that good, we came down to their level at times.

You asked me last week why I'm so pessimistic about Leeds Utd. Thats one example today. We were awful when everyone expected a great performance and win. Leeds United don't need an opponent to beat them, they beat themselves.

Game we should have won but once again the players put in below par performances and screwed it up.

0-0 draw v a side without a shot on target, definitely 2 points dropped. We will fall further behind Sunderland and Burnley too, so definitely a poor result.

These kind of performances come from the lack of rotation. Players coming in from the cold, expecting to be at full pace, players over playing and being tired, no subs till 75th min or later, so players just don't get a chance to rest. Some will use injuries as an excuse, but no injuries just mean Ampadu and Gruev would be playing every minute of every game and not getting a rest. Players like Bamfraud, Byram and Gelhardt need to come on before the 90th minute if they're to get match sharpness and contribute.

The 2 points a game is based on historical averages I think.

Unfortunately we are seeing the gulf in quality that exists in the prem start to extend to the championship in recent seasons.

I.e. last season we would have been promoted in all but 1 season in the last 25 years I think the stat was.

Those being relegated are head and shoulders above the mid table champ sides now and the points tallies needed for top 2 are starting to show it.

Love the way people can watch a game & see things differently, IMHO Byram never missed a tackle, positioning was excellent especially when BC we’re putting us under pressure in the 1st half & created 2 of our best chances for Bogle’s & Joseph’s headers. Swings & roundabouts with him & Firpo, Firpo (may) get more assists but will cost us goals whereas Byram is way & above the better defender. I know which one I’d want in my team in the Premiership.

You kind of summed it up. Firpo offers more going forward. Byram is more sound defensively. Byram certainly has a smarter head on his shoulders too. We missed Firpo's runs and cutting into the box. Byram did nothing wrong. Against a flat Bristol City side, would have rather had Firpo in there today. But no complaints against Byram. Our 11 players were more than good enough to win this game today. Any 11 from our best 17 should be beating most sides in the championship.

Wouldnt describe Burnley as awe inspiring based off what Im watching here vs QPR. Still time for that to change of course (hopefully in QPR's direction).

Watched 1st half Brighton vs Wolves he's different class to everyone we have even Gnonto.

Creatively brilliant but he works so hard as well.

Last but 1 stat is important.

We do look a bit more settled defensively this year even after losing Ampadu and Gruev. Like I don't really feel we let many big opportunities come a teams way.

I do worry about creativity centrally as we are heavily reliant on the wings and pretty one dimensional in attack (struggle to break teams down if they sit back).

Overall though, its not bad..... I just don't see us going on a winning run. No really terrifying forwards this year after losing Rutter and Summerville (Players who can single handedly change a game).

It took us a while to settle. Bristol had the best of the first 30 minutes and had a lot of corners in that time. But I don't remember once when they ever looked like scoring. I don't think there was one nervous moment in the whole game.

As for creativity, I thought we brought Rothwell in to give us that cutting edge through the middle. Didn't see much from him today.

In context, we were all worried about the Blunts on a Friday after a quick international reset. I'd have taken a point in that game. So 7 from 3 aint bad. But today's 3 points were easily there for the taking. You know Leicester and Ipswich would have taken the points from this game last season.

My complaint. Farke has opportunities to get his squad players on earlier. But doesn't seem to trust them.

Plenty of times this season that he could get Byram on from the 65th minute. Against Sunderland at 2-1, he had plenty of time to make a defensive sub and take off Aaronson or one of the wingers. And what's his assessment on Schmidt? Not good enough? I think he's played 8 minutes total. He's scared to make a substitution. But we all know the fatigue killed us last season. He's got to trust those bench players with more time. Especially our bench players who are good enough and would be starting for most of the teams we play against - Byram, Bamford, Joseph, Schmidt, Solomon, Gelhardt

He was too good for us. Someone called him a cheat code if we'd kept him this season. He's playing a leading role for Brighton. So no way we could have ever hoped to have kept him.

We're not allowed to say that Tyzy, no matter how true it is. We scored 81 goals last season, I reckon Geo had a key hand in over half of them. I will check when I'm really bored
