Dunno about anyone else but I'm not in the Anti Farke "gang" ...100% not in that gang... whomever that maybe.

I wouldn’t swap Farke for any other manager in the league.

Nothing to do with Farke for me.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 7:45 pm Dunno about anyone else but I'm not in the Anti Farke "gang" ...100% not in that gang...
Said before I rate Carrick.
Prefer managers who make teams better than the individuals in them should be.
Carrick does that and plays good football and has shown he can do it with someone else's squad and very limited resources.
DF hasn't, neither has Wilder for that matter.
Rohl has Corberan has and Carrick has but Carrick plays far better football.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
The question was who is the best manager in the Championship, not just this season but overall. In which case Farke, Wilder & Parker are head and shoulders above the rest.
Carrick has shown promise, but then so did someone like Lampard when he had decent resources at Derby. That's why the body of work over multiple seasons that Farke, Wilder & Parker have on their CV's shows they bring success and not just the illusion of it.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Nobody has mentioned Neil Harris from Millwall, or voted for him... didn't he put one over on both us and Burnley.
Not the most attractive football or the most lovable club or fans, I always hated us going down to the Lions Den. cos they had a reputation of being hard men, and generally we lost out on the physical battle.
Harris has brought back that blood an thunder aggressiveness, and I would not be surprised it they make the playoffs.
Does Millwalls blood on the studs brand of football beat Leeds clean pair of heels... seems to be a clash of the beast and the beauty.

Then the answer should be Scott Parker then shouldn't it?Jammy 07 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 8:21 pm The question was who is the best manager in the Championship, not just this season but overall. In which case Farke, Wilder & Parker are head and shoulders above the rest.

He's got 2 promotions out of 2 and is currently 4th.
Wilder was sacked by Boro for failing to meet expectations and Farke failed 1st season at Norwich and last season.
Imo context is important, resources, club Expectations etc.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
45% think that Daniel Farke is the best manager in the Championship.
The criteria for that was broad an diverse each person applying their own outlook for coming to that decision.
Seems that most people responding to the poll were happy and satisfied with his actions as manager, and thought that he could fulfill his remit of getting promotion, though concerns were raised as to how he would perform in the premiership, citing his past failures with Norwich, though neglecting to say that Norwich saw themselves as a yoyo club with hardly any ambition save getting parachute payments.
With proper support and financing perhaps Farke can do a better job this time. The reality is that every club has a manager churn and noone stays at a club forever, and the clubs success or failure usually determines how long a manager will be at the helm.

Daniel Farke has the experience and titles, I think Michael Carrick is a great up and coming coach though,

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
I didn't vote for Farke as the best manager in the championship. I voted for someone that has operated on a small budget and exceeded expectations. But that doesn't mean I would want that type of manager at Leeds. I don't think Farke is the best manager in the championship. But I do think he is the best manager in the championship for Leeds.Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 3:47 pm 45% think that Daniel Farke is the best manager in the Championship.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
I'd put Carrick ahead of Farke in terms of what he's achieved with what he has. But I doubt Carrick could have managed the upheavals we've had as a club over the past two seasons as well as Farke has.

That's key for me.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 4:57 pm I didn't vote for Farke as the best manager in the championship. Taking a squad of lesser players many of whom weren't even your own choices and improving them and achieving more than you should.
That's basically what Bielsa did.
Carrick walked into a Boro bottom 5 mid season and finished 4th.
Rohl improved Wendies to upper mid table form with a League 1 squad.
For me that is far more impressive than taking a very expensive highly talented group of players and not achieving your primary goal (which Farke didn't as Angus Kinnear told us).
Handling a mildly tricky situation is part of management, reacting in game, squad management, use of the bench, adapting to situations such as a low block.
All things DF has been heavily criticised for his inability to do by most on here not the "Farke Out" crew as some like to say.
So how can he be the best manager if most seemingly agree he struggles to do those things?

Do you hear or know anyone around you in the kop who would swap Farke for another coach, Kev?Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 7:48 pm I wouldn’t swap Farke for any other manager in the league.
I certainly don't in upper N10.

I seem to remember you yourself when we did a Manager Poll which Farke was on wanted Carrick but expressed doubt he would come.
Was a few people who did that.
Farke was seen as the less awful choice nothing more between Parker him and Vieira.

What upheavals? ..Isn't that just an excuse, especially when compared to other clubs in the divisionandrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 4:58 pm I'd put Carrick ahead of Farke in terms of what he's achieved with what he has. I rate Carrick, he's my second choice on the above list.
Still needs to prove his immense potential though.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Hull City fans got their wishes, wanting Rosenior out because of his negative tactics.
Now, they regret those opinions & would take him back in a heartbeat.
Be careful what you wish for!

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Farke for me, because he is currently OUR manager and therefore gets my full support. Call me old fashioned but I like to get behind everyone at the club, manager to tea (person)
