Thing is Preston can actually play, so why do they insist on being thugs?

As feared.

Preston defending well and we are playing into their hands with our narrow ploddy risk free no crosses football.

Woeful half of football, ref is a joke but we knew what was coming.

Not sure about the squad selection in this one. Was clearly going to be a physical match so why exclude Wober at LB? He’s done a marvelous job of recent there. Am also thinking this would’ve been the more ideal match to start Mateo given his more physical presence and work rate. Would then allow us the option to bring on Piroe and overwhelm tired legs. Now, once Piroe tires, unfortunately Joseph is hardly the right sub to take advantage of tired legs.

My two cents…

No excuses. The same thing happens every away game. Concede only shot on target that can be easily saved, then ten men behind the ball, we create one clear cut chance and waste it. No point blaming the ref, the best manager in the league has no idea how to win games like this or even how to set up.

Because they’ve watched us against Millwall and the rest? We just lose all composure against physical opponents.

How do you find room when there isnt any?

Once our wingers go wide they just double and sometimes treble up on us. Plus we have no target man who can use his strength against them
The tempo needs upped though.

Usual rough house stuff from Preston.

Poor defending on the goal, Bogle out of position and Meslier keeping up his usual standards of being weak as piss.
