Thought it would end up back with Meslier at one point.

But then Solomon, Piroe, Aaronson, goal.

Derby had plenty of play in the 2nd half. Job well done

Think we played more like them in the second half rather than controlling things. Possibly suited us to play that way so we could hit them on the break and have more space, only trouble was that the players on the pitch weren't stretching them as much as the players who came on did. A bit disappointed in how we played after going in front, for me that was the point where we should have simply switched back to stringing 40 passes together and simply keeping the ball until the final whistle went.

Right now the only weak point in the squad is Joseph. He hasn't been the same player since he came back from international duty. U21 a very different story to the Championship and he doesn't seem to have any answers, right now.
Maybe a loan period would be good for maturity.

Solomon has an amazing football brain. He's a class above the Championship. Great to have him.

If ever there was a game where the manager gets full credit, this was it. A fantastic dominant display all over the park from top to toe.
He rang the changes without a blip in a tough away fixture, and as a coach gets full credit for the goal, even the subs were spot on.
He deserved that to be 1-0 at least and definitely not 0-0. Well done.

Made the changes, gave the lads a chance, they didn't take it and he took 3 of them off. The lads that had been replaced made an instant impact.

Made the changes, gave the lads a chance, they didn't take it and he took 3 of them off. The lads that had been replaced made an instant impact.

Was disappointed with the subs really, replacements rather.

Ramazani and Joseph and Gnonto had moments but nothing more than that.

Farke made the right changes with Solomon, James and Piroe (all be it James wasn't brilliant).

He's getting better Solomon.

His quality was never really in doubt technically, just whether the injury had impacted his pace and whether his body was still upto it.

He has come into his own recently.

What an entertaining game of football that turned out to be! Derby county were no push overs, although we managed to win again and also show everyone why we deserve to be at the top of the league!!

Only no pushover because we kept missing our chances. An early goal and I think we win that on cruise control. The longer it goes on, especially with us missing chances, and they think they can get something from the game. Even their fans started to believe as we missed chance after chance. The highly original 'Come On Derby' chants even rose above a whisper around the stadium.

A bit unlucky, good movement and shot was on target. I think Bamford is above Joseph in the pecking order after tonight and may get the start in the cup - perhaps deja vu too as it was the cup match that started his run last year.

He is also giving Joeseph a chance to get his mojo back (not working unfortunately). At this point I'd prefer Paddy on earlier than Joseph.

I would actually like to see him giving Schmidt a start in the next while in the right fixture.

I thought Joseph had a decent game overall. But just lacked that composure when it mattered. The one their goalie saved wasn't best placed, And he still has a bit to learn in terms of getting into the right places at the right time.

It was a promising game for him. But still lacking what we need at the moment.

Would like to see more of Bamford. We know if he gets fully running he has a lot to offer.

Excellent from Piroe and that goal will give Brendon a smile lasting into the new year.

Well done against a difficult Derby County that just didn't have the same
quality needed that Leeds had waiting on the bench.

Woop top of the league and the stuff of beauty to get the three points. I feel like we'd have lost that last season, but we had that extra bit of quality to win a tough away game. I have to give a lot of credit to Farke for mixing up the team and using the squad over Christmas, it's got us 6 points, whereas last year we got 0. It's good that Piroe, Solomon and James will be a bit fresher now for Blackburn. I'd probably bring in Rothwell for Amps, who looked tired tonight. Blackburn going to be tough as Eustace has Farke's number at the moment.

Felt he should have bent that round the defender into the other corner of the net which would have given the keeper no chance. Easy to say that though and harder to do it on the pitch, although top class striker should be able to do that.

I don’t think we’d have picked up the 3 points if Farke had left Joseph, on, a Piroe has definitely cemented his starting berth for me.

DJ remains our best on the right, while Willy/Solomon/ Ramazani contest the left - with Solomon in pole position atm.
