Not at all , the opposite. Full praise to coach and players. The more we can grind out results away like today the better chance of winning the league.
Trying not to get ahead of myself, but we seem a way more balanced and composed squad this season.
Some fans got all dreary when we lost our 'big 3' from last season. But frankly players like Ao, Rothwell and Solomon have been wonderful, quiet additions.
Couple that with Aaronson, James, Piroe form and we're way better than last year this time imo.

Too right! I was shouting at the telly, get James and Piroe on but that's why we have subs. Farke has been slagged of no end for not using his subs sensibly, today he did and got the result.
We wouldn’t win this type of game last season , DF deserves a lot more credit for getting the best out of this group of players. He got a lot of stick last season for getting subs wrong, not rotating players, not playing Joseph etc but he has gotten most of that right this time round and shows that he maybe he just needed time to mould a team he believed in.
We have a squad now that seems stronger even after losing some of our best players and DF has more faith in the bench hence the better rotation and earlier use of subs, he’s starting to show that with the right backing he could do a good job in the Prem if/when we get promoted.
I’m not expecting a lot of player movement in January but if/when we reach the Promised Land the board need to trust the manager and back him to the hilt, maybe it’s time to start dreaming again.

Missed the game yesterday, had a house full. Followed the score on BBC sport. Watched a few highlights on YT this morning before heading off to work. I will watch the game, which I recorded ……. Hopefully later this evening.
That goal was special, Solomon’s turn and lay off was the catalyst for me, followed by a well weighted pass by Piroe. The finish by BA was great composure to lift it enough to clear the keepers out stretched leg.
7 goals for the kid now and his game is on an upward curve.

In terms of the next transfer window, the club have no reason to panic. But If Joe G goes out as seems likely, I am sure they will try and get a replacement in to bolster the attacking options.

And me Swannie, especially after all the hype Joseph received on here at the end of last season.
He started well in his first six games, but his form dropped quickly. Only one goal in 570 minutes of play since the 22nd October.
We've seen this with so many young players previously, who flatter to deceive.

Yes and the point I made earlier is that the rotation in the last 2 games to the starting line up is building confidence in players and how they combine together.
I think I'm right in saying we have the smallest squad in the league?
It shows that it's arguably better to have a smaller squad, all of whom can start with confidence, than a large squad with half of them wearing their shorts out on the bench.
Nice to have the cup game coming too where even more of this can happen.
Maybe Paddy gets the captain's armband
Would it not be better if we loaned Bamfraud to Harrogate on the understanding that they played him against us in the Cup ?

Think we played more like them in the second half rather than controlling things. Possibly suited us to play that way so we could hit them on the break and have more space, only trouble was that the players on the pitch weren't stretching them as much as the players who came on did. A bit disappointed in how we played after going in front, for me that was the point where we should have simply switched back to stringing 40 passes together and simply keeping the ball until the final whistle went.

Absolutely fantastic away performance from our matchday squad and a very well deserved but hard fought victory.
Lots seem to be given Joseph some criticism but he did what we've been asking him to do by working hard for the opening 70 mins and then making way for Piroe to come on and help win the game. Also his work defensively from set pieces should not be underestimated, for example after Meslier's save he was the one to hook it clear and then sprinted 30 yards to close down the Derby defender in possession causing him to overhit the forward pass.
Joseph in is an awkward spot now as he isnt scoring and as hard as he tries it just doesnt seem to be working for him, at the moment. There is still a good young player there but at present with the situation we are in we cant afford to just play him every game until things turn good for him.
Im sure he knows this himself and knows its just a case of working hard until his luck changes. Farke must still think he has plenty to offer as he still plays him now and again. We all know if Farke isnt happy with a player for whatever reasons they dont get much of a look in, until he decides otherwise.

It's difficult to be critical of a player on here, there were a few shabby bits of play yesterday.
Our play was far from error-free, as we came down to Derby's level at times.
The rams are not much better than a League One outfit, I believe they created one chance to score in the two games against us. We created so many chances, but lacked composure, with shots that would have scored points in a rugby match.
Our subs & Aaronson won that game for us. Class that wasn't evident in the first-half apart from Gnonto who was very lively.

At least the four changes gave players a chance to shine, as Farke had to juggle his resources and rest some of his squad.
