This and your good plays/bad plays is making me rethink my 6.5 I gave to Rothwell. Thought some were being unkind to him. And thought an above average rating was warranted, but maybe a 7 or 7.5 was warranted. I need to go check your player rating of him to see if my suspicion is warranted.

Better performance than the Millwall/WBA games overall. Aaronson and James continue a poor run of form, which is worrying and I'm much happier with Tanaka playing a true 8.

Mugged early due to an Aaronson c**k up and a stunning finish, then a defender given way too much space in our defence (Millwall did this a lot to us and we got lucky) Other than that we controlled the game and good value for the point as bare minimum

Gnonto is definitely one of the best 3 players at the club, maybe the best so baffling why he spending so much time on the bench

I only gave Rothwell 6/10, Joe, as I did'n't think he was as slick & polished as usual. Yes, he had the most good moments (nothing spectacular though) however he had twelve poor pieces of play, second-highest amount of errors after Struijk with sixteen mistakes from our captain.

That defender was Rodon, who lost his marker twice, the first one cost us their second goal.

I personally thought our performance was much more efficient against Millwall, than what I witnessed at Loftus Road yesterday, Defensively we were shocking at times, it could have been worse as we allowed their full-back Dunne to almost score with the very last kick of the ball, with virtually every one of our players struggling to stop the move, after we just had a corner in the 95th minute.

I've never witnessed Pascal make so many daft errors in a game, 16 in all. Rodon made four errors, three of them right out of the school playground. We saw none of those shenanigans against Millwall.

86 errors in the QPR game, as opposed to 50 in the Millwall game, says it all.

Agree, Gnonto should start against Swansea.

Yep, saw that. Made me feel better. Thought some posters were slagging him off in the match thread which I thought bit unfair. I was surprised by the interceptions work you had calculated for him as I suspected his defensive work would be compromised by the injury.

Overall, I just didn’t see as much forward progression as I’ve come to expect out of him in his other matches this season. And I’m not talking dangerous forward passes…it’s more than that. It’s him rallying/willing the team onward into “attack mode”. Thought that element was lacking a bit and thus settled on the 6.5.

Some good and some bad as you astutely calculated and lo and behold our ratings wound up pretty close

I almost made my rating of 4.5 lower, as I couldn’t believe my eyes at times. Erred on the side of 4.5 and chalked it up to an uncharacteristic blip.

Those Aarsonson and James ratings however….those have been coming for a while now. And it’s becoming extremely hard for me to blame the players at this point. Those ratings (an 3 and 4 respectively IMHO) almost need to be directed back to the manager. They are flat out gassed. What’s staggering is that his bench/rotation options for those two positions represent an embarrassment of riches that almost no club at this level can rival.

My MOTM six Bogle, Soloman, Firpo, Gnonto, Meslier & Tanaka had fewer good moments than Rothwell, however they all had excellent or very good pieces of play in their game, something Rothwell lacked.

Probably Pascal's worst game of the season. He was really poor although he did make one excellent block.
