Most on here were saying that we shouldn't strengthen in January as we might not bring in players who would be an asset for us in the PL - the assumption being that we were automatically destined for the PL.

That's like Risdale basing the solvency of the club on the assumption that it would automatically qualify for the CL.

Starting Gnonto as a No.10 didn't work, he was hopeless.

Much easier coming on late against tired legs.

I doubt Willy will take as much stick as our usual scapegoat Brenden.

As for resting James, he was one of our livelier players & got us back into the game with a beautiful strike.

It wasn’t the right type of game for Gnonto to shine. Big physical team - pressing and using their physicality to good effect, hard pitch, the ball in the air more often than on the ground. Baptism of fire in that role.

Then add to that that we were outmuscled all over the pitch except in defence. Where again the outball was more often a hoof.

Really hope Farke is sacked.... Biggest problem with this team by far. From sticking with his no1 Meslier after calamity after calamity costing us 10 points this season alone through unforced errors.

Zero rotation.... Bet ramazani is really happy he signed.

One dimensional predictable wing play..... All teams have to do like the end of last season is double up on our wingers and they stop our threat. Zero adaptation to that fact like last season.

Let's rely on Aarronsson as our only no10.... Joseph as our 2nd striker...... No attacking mifielders apart from an outcast from Southampton in rothwell whos been one of our better players which says a lot. Zero threat centrally which every team now knows and is why they can afford to put more men on the wings.

Is what it is but all so very avoidable as many on here have highlighted going back to last year and Burnley/Sheff utd have avoided it.

Doubt we'll do anything in play offs.....

Loads of our players will go for nothing... James one year left, Firpo for nothing... Harrison.... Meslier.....

Total rebuild needed, top to bottom. Starts up top. See if we have the money to do that now.

So many posts I could have quoted but this was a good post so this is the one I chose!

Additional: I've said this every season about January signings: it will cost us! And, it has again! I'm fuming at the owners/board/Farke for January. Blunts and Burnley strengthened and look at them. If we don't go up this season, Farke and our best players are gone. I'll be glad to see the back of Farke (as nice as he is). He really should not have said that we will be playing Premiership football next season 100%. I'm really saddened by this season now...

Lost our swagger, cohesion & style.

Resorted to playing like the opposition.
Going to sleep in certain situations.
