Most on here were saying that we shouldn't strengthen in January as we might not bring in players who would be an asset for us in the PL - the assumption being that we were automatically destined for the PL.

That's like Risdale basing the solvency of the club on the assumption that it would automatically qualify for the CL.

Ampadu is the only one with any aggression in his game.

We need players similar to Tarkowski next season, a few nasties please.
Teams reflect the manager.

Absolutely no way after all the money he's been given Farke can't be front and centre of responsibility for this.

All his big claims Mr Promotion, I know strikers.

Buck stops with him because as he's so keen to tell everyone he runs the club on the football side

No DOF, Daniel Farke is the boss.

If we played agressively we'd have players sent off every week....

Another dreadful performance, Farke now relying on Oxford saving his bacon.

I think we'll beat Boro, as we play well v the good teams who try to play, but either draw or lose to Preston.

Well the majority of you got your wish dumping Aaronson.

Starting Gnonto as a No.10 didn't work, he was hopeless.

Much easier coming on late against tired legs.

I doubt Willy will take as much stick as our usual scapegoat Brenden.

As for resting James, he was one of our livelier players & got us back into the game with a beautiful strike.

It wasn’t the right type of game for Gnonto to shine. Big physical team - pressing and using their physicality to good effect, hard pitch, the ball in the air more often than on the ground. Baptism of fire in that role.

Then add to that that we were outmuscled all over the pitch except in defence. Where again the outball was more often a hoof.

You'd think Farke would've learned from Millwall, Preston, Portsmouth and QPR

ElKapitan wrote: Sat Apr 05, 2025 1:37 pm Really hope Farke is sacked.... Biggest problem with this team by far. From sticking with his no1 Meslier after calamity after calamity costing us 10 points this season alone through unforced errors.

Zero rotation.... Bet ramazani is really happy he signed.

One dimensional predictable wing play..... All teams have to do like the end of last season is double up on our wingers and they stop our threat. Zero adaptation to that fact like last season.

Let's rely on Aarronsson as our only no10.... Joseph as our 2nd striker...... No attacking mifielders apart from an outcast from Southampton in rothwell whos been one of our better players which says a lot. Zero threat centrally which every team now knows and is why they can afford to put more men on the wings.

Is what it is but all so very avoidable as many on here have highlighted going back to last year and Burnley/Sheff utd have avoided it.

Doubt we'll do anything in play offs.....

Loads of our players will go for nothing... James one year left, Firpo for nothing... Harrison.... Meslier.....

Total rebuild needed, top to bottom. Starts up top. See if we have the money to do that now.

Pi**ed off.
So many posts I could have quoted but this was a good post so this is the one I chose!

Additional: I've said this every season about January signings: it will cost us! And, it has again! I'm fuming at the owners/board/Farke for January. Blunts and Burnley strengthened and look at them. If we don't go up this season, Farke and our best players are gone. I'll be glad to see the back of Farke (as nice as he is). He really should not have said that we will be playing Premiership football next season 100%. I'm really saddened by this season now...

We've learned no lessons!

Lost our swagger, cohesion & style.
No composure.
Lack of physicality
Resorted to playing like the opposition.
Going to sleep in certain situations.
Conceding goals every game,
Always need two or three goals to win.
Goals have dried up.

All in all, we have lost our mojo!

How do we get our mojo back Leon?

No idea, we've had 7 games and a two week break and that's done nothing to change things

Not his forte.
Noticed one time today when he didnt even try to challenge in the air against one of their defenders. Poor.

Have posted before but still think there is dissent among the players, still no excuse for the recent displays
Have looked forward so much for today but now am dreading midweek.

Looks to me that a few players are wanting to be away.

And lo, amid the tumult of Oxford's ascendancy, the countenance of Mr. Chris Wilder spoke volumes, a study in thwarted ambition, like unto a canine of the bulldog variety, licking urine from a stinging nettle. (Urtica dioica)

His visage, drawn and shadowed, seemed to confess the bitter catechism of defeat, each furrow a syllable in a sermon on squandered expectation.

One might almost pity him, were it not for the unassailable joy with which our scholars-turned-sportsmen dispatched his vile and ill conceived stratagems. Thus, in the Kassam cathedral, it was not the blade but the book that claimed the day.
