Time to reflect and go again. Newcastle next weekend and they put this behind them.
Tactics seemed to let us down here. I know they’ve got better players but we weren’t brave enough to press and try to get at them. I’d rather lose 4-3 and go down fighting. Today we barely touched them. That’s in the team set up.

It's not acceptable to me to go to Manu and get clapped. But yeah we played on the front foot.
Well that was chastening. We were awful in possession for the majority of the game, Perri was nervous in possession, which didn’t help. But less time on the ball is the difference at this level. Tough watch, but it is how react, we will not be playing against this level week in week out.

He’s the only one who can tackle based on today’s game.
One of our better players, he like others couldn't find the out ball. I watched Struijk 4 times look for the progressive pass before being forced to turn and play back, often under pressure and Gruev the same.

Don't forget, we beat Everton. And outplayed them. Plenty of winnable games and this was always going to be a 0 pointer.
Hard to remember of the back of a 5-0 no show. Nil pointer is one thing, but never getting a look in is another. But it's the teams in the bottom half we need to be beating.
