Well........ We are a top championship side with a couple of prem level players. Its not on this game.... But we weren't exactly blessed for quality beyond the starting 11 last year and we seem to of added a mixed bag of low end prem players with one or two gems.

The capability of the players at Farkes disposal isn't prem level and combined with farkes "philosophy" (much the same as last year except we're the minnows now) we'll concede a fair few without scoring many.

Hopefully we can get something against teams near us but just don't see much creativity in attack centrally and James is a speed machine.... Not so effective in prem. Gnonto is creative but needs games to develop end product that's not there at mo.... Piroe can't deal physically with championship and hasn't got pace either.... Not a prem player....

Stach, Bijol, Rodon, Gudmundsson, Ampadu from what we have seen look lower prem capable in their positions. Struggling beyond that if I'm totally honest. Most others are hovering between that prem/championship level, maybe some will adapt but don't see how we will get anything against the established sides.

Today.... Shows the effect of a team... Wednesday played as one we were a disjointed mish mash of new signings and backups. Should have been enough wasn't. Newcastle up next

All jokes aside was a real opportunity for many of our new signings to show what they had against basically a youth team.

None of them did.

Some were anonymous and some were just bad.

They were truly shocking in the first half and part of the second half, but why were they so bad?

We just didn't seem to have anyone who could create. Anyone who was able to stand out. I hope we get Solomon as he seemed to have that extra bit of quality to deliver a perfect ball.

We have 3 strikers who don't really seem able to create something for themselves in terms of taking someone on. We desperately need the creativity.

It’s baffling with all the money we had to spend we haven’t been seriously linked with a single attacking centre mid. It’s a major blind spot in the recruitment department and it’s not just this one, Orta was exactly the same.

Tonight was surreal ( I don’t think most of the players took it seriously).
Newcastle- that feels like a strong test of where we actually are. I’ll hold judgement until 8pm Saturday. I need to see strong performance (even if that doesn’t translate into a win).
