No faffing around at the back from Perri, ball is booted up the pitch as soon as he gets it to his feet, not pretty but safe.

We've managed zero shots on target.

Against Arsenal we had the Struijk header on target.

Against Everton we had three shots on target, one of which was the Nmecha penalty.

So, four shots on target in 225 minutes of football. That's very concerning.

No problem with us bringing in Justin. Don't see why Rama isn't a nice option from the bench though.

Good first half. 50-50. Superior opposition. But we're a home team. Looked fairly even. Their chances all looked a bit more dangerous - probably due to the better final ball.

We need to defend better and win a few games 1-0 to have a chance in this league. The idea we're going to be freescoring and playing Bielsaball is delusional.

Happy enough with that, most players playing well atm. James the exception. Gnonto, Struijk and Stach the pick..

Agree. We have missed them Ron. But pleased to see the 2 replacements holding their own.
We at least have looked somewhat confident on the ball.
Willie the pick of our players.
While Nmecha has battled, he has had blue shirts all over him.
I would like to see DCL sooner than later.
Maybe also the new lad in place of Bogle.

for a change no subs needed at HT.

However, how do we change this to score a goal? Calvert Lewin would switch it up in the last 25.
Harrison for James (and move Gnonto on the right)?
I'd say Okafor but would rather he is fully fit.

We've created though. Couple of good shooting oportunities, couple of crosses accross the goal mouth.

Positives:

Nmecha's hold up
Gnonto been lively and heavily involved
Longstaff fired up
Most look comfortable

Bogle looks great at times. Good skill. Great pace. Just decision making seems lacking a bit.

Newcastle look likely to score, but we don't.

Missed the first half, had to pick the Mrs up. Sounds like I didn’t miss much.

Not been too bad really, just been careless in attack. Worrying though that they have barnes and elanga to come on

Your Aunt Nora ran like Liam Brady? Sure she's your aunt not uncle?

Nmecha done well holding the ball up - but has no one to play off him
Longstaff looking good and full of energy
No fannying about at the back - just clearing it
Gnonto trying but still thinks it's the Championship and can take too long when in a good position

0-0 right result so far, with neither side really threatening. If Isak was playing we're probably behind.

Most of their good moves have come down Bogle's side

James out of his depth at this level. He was worth 7m - which is what we at first nearly bought him for.

Then after being got rid of by that other club, we decided to buy him for 25m instead - bonkers. Bielsa had a weird obsession with him.
