All that game did is make me remember how much more fun a Farke side is with Georgie in It.

West Ham lose tomorrow and its virtually 'as you were'(Forest point excepted), so not as bad as it could have been.
We need to sort out the midfield. We can't play 3 DM'S anymore.

I did but can see them getting removed.. it touched Rodon on the way

Gabriel with 10, Mateta 6 and Minteh 9 so far. I thought I'd switched Guehi in but must have forgotten to confirm

NOT HAPPY!
Yes brighton are a good team but they are very poor this season
If we cant get anything from a poor brighton, and lose to a burnley who have one other win all season, then im sorry we dont deserve to stay up.

I was delighted about us beating west ham but wasnt too impressed when they could have EASILY pulled it back to 2-2 (from us being 2-0 up), so lets be honest, we are in a rut.

I support the team through thick and thin and give credit when deserved, but generally we are weak, and on form one of the weakest sides in the division - and at times couldnt even buy a goal.

Its like every side who needs a win, they are looking forward to playing us.

Thanks LEEDS UTD for ruining my weekend......... again

PS I am done with this D C L experiment, he isnt a james milner or a jordan henderson where he can afford to get away with a hard engine like performance doing a lot behind the scenes - he is paid to score, and he cant score and cant assist, this is a worse upgrade on bamford!

Many passes into spaces occupied by two players (often two DMs) which makes us so easy to defend against.

I nearly bought Mateta in but put my faith in Ekitike and Captained.

DCl was pretty much nullified by Dan Burn. But he was completely isolated for much of the game. We could have Haaland up front and it would make little difference without a supporting cast.

Will he start? I seem to have gotten rid of all my Liverpool players. I started with three. Keeper/Ekitike and Wirtz.. have all gone last 3/4 weeks.

I have Haaland now (last two weeks and I still have 4.6 spare

Even if that ends up being the case, it doesnt help the case, letting a team worse than us (in west ham) bail us out.

We can not keep living on the edge, even the west ham win was almost a draw from 2-0 up.

I mean BURNLEY? we cant even beat burnley, who are the premier leagues' whipping boys, and a very very poor brighton side.

Premier League games are not easy, and if we cant get points from these games, we have no chance.

Bad setup from the start, bad changes, bad performances.

Perri for all he may not be Beckenbauer on the ball kept it below 5.

Our setup away from home needs looking at and how we start games.

That's 7 where we have conceded the 1st goal and unsurprisingly it's generally good night Vienna then with 5 defeats, 1 win and 1 draw.

Work to do.
Unsure what we can do!

To be brutally honest, there is a distinct lack of quality, pace, anticipation & awareness in our squad.

Exactly, the whole team create jack sht, i get that.
But in 3 months you would have excpected him to have an assist or brace of goals by now. Even with a team that creates nothing.

Burnley are a point behind us and had a much tougher start having played Villa, City, Liverpool (while they were still playing quite well) Arse, Manure and Spuds.. they're not the whipping boys

Different setup?
Psychologist?
Tactics
Players

Don't know.

But the amount of times we concede first worries me most of all.

And the amount of times runners are never tracked, player issue? Coaching issue? Probably both.

Farke here

We don't have to over analyse the game. There is no sugarciating they were the better side. Overall in the game it was quite equal - 50/50 possession. But out of their possession they were far more clinical.

We didn't start very well. We weren't brave or confident. If you're 1-0 down in the away game, its always difficult. After that I was impressed with how we handle it.

Deliveres were not as good and missed chances. Felt we were not that farw away from eqaulise then we gave the 2-0 and 3-0 in quick succession.

Bogle sub

Mentioned he felt poorly at half time. He was surprised to be taken off.

Calvert-Lewin lack of support

Was due to the way Brighton pressed. We couldnt use him that much, especially in the away game.

Attacking away from home

We are a newly promoted away side. Today fair assesment wasn't our day today.

We are self critical bc can play better.

Playing Aaronson in midfield

We wanted a creative numebr 10. We choose then to take more risk. He's played there before - perhaps we lacked physicality.

Any positives?
Reaction after 10 minutes. Bringing the ball in the opponents half, keeping possession. Was important we show class and team spirit.

This is what we did. Lukas had a great chance, could have perhaps taken a first. Overall wasn't our best day.

I never had an expectation of getting a point today. Brighton have too much quality. But the performance was woeful. A midfield of Amps Tanaka and Longstaff was far too negative. We were so deep for the first 20 mins, no press whatsoever. So when we did win the ball back the only real out ball was the flanks and the distribution was slow in both thinking and delivery. When Okafor got on the ball there were no runners at all.

What really pissed me off was the lack of options for Bogle when put through. Just DCl in the 18 yard box who was nicely man handled by the Brighton defence to prevent him getting anywhere near the cross. Where are the late runners with the option of a pull back.

Every break we had was virtually the same. One of the three in the middle should be busting a gut to get forward, as should Okafor off the ball. His movement off the ball isn’t great btw.
