Re: Brighton and Hove Albion v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Finally calmed down a bit, what a sh*tshow of a performance yesterday. It looked as if we watched replays of Brighton’s games and decided to play to their strengths, no press, insisting on playing out from the back using a keeper with someone else’s legs, no support for DCL when we finally did lump it up to him, no-one capable of finishing any half chances we had, useless substitutions, no plan B when things go tits up…………………
We’re now at least 5 goals worse off than teams above us which could prove crucial and with a run of Chelsea, City & Liverpool coming up will most likely take a battering. If we don’t take points off Forest or Villa Farke will be gone and our record of mid season manager changes is hardly encouraging. Ho Hum, at least Christmas is around the corner Bah Humbug.

Just seen the highlights, we looked an absolute shambles defensively - we’ve had this tendency for a while to look panic stricken when teams come at us, defenders rashly flying in to try and stop attackers rather than staying on their feet and positioning out the window.

That was the most disappointing thing.CUSSIE01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 8:54 am Finally calmed down a bit, what a sh*tshow of a performance yesterday. We had 8 days to prepare and come up with a plan, what was the plan Farke came up with? To play into the hands of Brighton.
It's not good enough, he needs to show more tactical awareness and adaption imo.
It's happened before where games pan out exactly as you fear where we just seem to play into teams hands.
Had we shown an ability to try and counter Brighton and their strengths and lost then that is atleast something to take heart from.
We didn't and why not?
And why are we conceding the first goal so often?
Why are we so hopeless away?

We've had one open play assist all season, Stach to Okafor v Wolves. We've only had three all season, the other two being Longstaff corners
That says a lot
Question though, what's the tactic if we give up playing from the back? Hoof out and let them come again?

He got his cuddle
Looks like Georgie was about to pick him up and Farke reminded him he doesn't have to carry him any more.
