1 win in 11 and stumbling blindly towards relegation again. The board needs to come out of hiding and make a call. Bring in a new manager and back him sufficiently come January.

Re: Leeds United v Aston Villa Match Thread
First half was really good and such a nice change.
Front foot, aggressive, energetic, passing with purpose.
Good performances from Tanaka, Nmecha, Bogle, Gud, Rodon, Aaronson
Was a really nice brave change.
Then the 2nd half started and you could see goal aside the energy wasn't there, the press had gone, spaces were opening up as we sat off more.
And still we wait till 70th minute for changes.
What did he say at half time?
2nd game in a row we've lost from winning positions, we already know we don't come back from losing one's so what's left?
Frustrating after a good first half

Absolutely piss poor game management by Daniel Farke. This loss is entirely on him

Lack of quality in key positions... you can't do this on the cheap and we should have gambled by spending big on a couple of players.
Sunderland came up saying "Lets have a go at this"
We came up with a "Lets prepare for relegation again and keep fingers crossed"

I don't know who would take the job tbh but no point sacking Farke now. Next 3 games are all losses (as bad as Liverpool are they will pan us). then I'd let Farke go (if there's a decent replacement who will come in). Farke has been great for us but his level is Championship...

It's more than money imo that's an excuse. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 4:08 pm Lack of quality in key positions... you can't do this on the cheap and we should have gambled by spending big on a couple of players.

Plucky teams in the Cups and European games win games with far far far more inferior squads and see them out.
Players are nice and money
But game management is about more than that, reading the game, seeing when it's going against you and reacting before it gets worse (not uust waiting till the 70th minute)
14 goals conceded 1 scored in the 2nd half.
That's more than a money issue

We actually have a worse squad than we did in the Championship. How have we managed to f**k it up this badly. The whole recruitment process was amateurish on every level and there's been zero accountability. More shysters.

Re: Leeds United v Aston Villa Match Thread
What was constantly winding me up during the game and it happened a lot even when we were on top for large parts of the first half is how fragile our left side is and has been for a few games now.
Okafor can be dangerous going forward but defensively he is no where, he is chasing players with his arms behind his back ffs. I can see why he isn’t in the Swiss National team, his work ethic is just know where near good enough. Constantly jogging back, it might be a stamina issue and if that is the case he is a last 30 mins sub for me.
With this squad everyone needs to work their bollocks off and he is a weak link for me.
Nmecha has an engine, I liked his performance but he falls over too easily looking to buy a foul but his intent is obvious and that makes it easy for the ref.
I thought BA had a good game - but again - far too often gets mugged because he takes too many.

Is it really 1 win in 11?
That feels wrong ?

I'm not defending Farke, he's been poor for a while.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 4:11 pm It's more than money imo that's an excuse.

Who would be caretaker manager? A single point from the next three would be an achievement but it doesn't really get easier after that.Johnsie123 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 4:20 pm I want farke gone, but it would be wrong to put another manager in place and start with those 3 matches .
We likely looking at 11 points from 15 games going to Brentford...and the London curse

Re: Leeds United v Aston Villa Match Thread
I disagree, let the new manager get his ethos across early. This squad lacks quality but it has more than enough to stay up. It is better than what Bielsa had, that’s for certain and is not as bad as some presume. What we have is a manager who does not know how to remedy games when we are under the cosh.Johnsie123 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 4:20 pm I want farke gone, but it would be wrong to put another manager in place and start with those 3 matches .
