Must be hard for those that want Farke gone to stomach a result like this, but it wont stop the gurning from them. Just wait till we have a bad game and they will be back at it.

As someone who thinks we should have changed manager, my priority is always to see our team succeed. Based on two matches I’ve seen a change of fight and tactics. If that continues we would be nuts to ask Farke to leave. My feelings are based on what I’ve seen and prior to these past two matches it was pretty dire. Right now things are in the balance. I think we wait to see how we do in the next 3 matches…if we are swapping out it needs to be before January. After that there is little option for impact.

I am concerned that if we sack Farke it makes things a lottery about whether or not we get in a new manager that WILL make a differnce. None of those mentioned lately as replacements give me confidence that they WILL do better. I honestly dont believe that things were or are as bad as some try to make out.
We are still building a new team, in a very tough league and there was and still will be harsh lesson to be learned. Despite what some fans want or believe, there is no given right to beat any team in this league. Its been shown plenty of times that even the weaker sides can on their day beat the big teams,
I know we cant wait for ever to see if farke gets it right, but for now i would like to see him stay in the job.

Oh that incident, I was assuming he meant another break where Bijol looked to block but Delap shot wide of the near post. It was decent defending. Bijol looks very assured in that central position as part of a back three. But as others have mentioned this is where he has generally played from his previous club and country.

This formation seems to suit this squad. Not just the 5 at the back with 2 decent winbacks in Bogle and Gudmundsson, but also the 2 strikers up front. Unless you have a Haaland or such, I think its tough for most teams to play consistently with 1 up front.

With Longstaff to come back into midfield, it may work even better.

It may not work forever, but it has been the impetus for change weve needed.

I definitely think this will have a shelf life. Clubs will adjust pretty quickly in this league. But if we can get a couple more results before the end of the year I think we can survive.
