Finally had a chance to watch the game tonight.

Oh my word. How good was Ethan Ampadu? A fair number of players were fabulous - DCL, Bijol, Rodon, Struijk, Stach, Aaronson all worthy of 9s (excellent) in my opinion - but Ampadu is worth at least a 9.5.

He was omnipresent, dominated the midfield, and controlled the game single-handedly. A performance that reminded me of Zidane at his best. Stunning.

Agree John

I gave all the above 9s, difficult to split them to be honest.

Even though I gave Ethan a 9, he was my MOTM with his 33 EX/VG contributions.

But he still won't get the credit he deserves from some fans.

Hes still out of his depth apparently :roflmao:

Of course this good run will soon be forgotten if we dip in form.

I think the late(ish) change of date caught one or two out.

A couple of our regular crew couldn’t attend.

Didn't they transfer the tickets to family & friends or sell them back to the club?

I think there were several empty seats in the top tier of the Palace end, only 1900 of them.

One gave his to a mate, he came, another gave it to a mates girlfriend but she was ill.

Not sure what happened to the other, probably sold back to the club.

Went to Selhurst Park in 87’ ( I think ) was a stih hole then, don’t know if it’s improved any. We got humped 3-0.

When I've watched matches there before it's been packed, but on Saturday it was fairly quiet, with lots of space. Made it a more pleasant experience to be honest, especially with flu going around at the moment.
