A lower trajectory with speed might be better.

Perri replacing Brendy who replaced Harrison who replaced Roberts who replaced Dallas as the latest lightning rod for fans anxieties.

Re: Lucas Perri
You sir have hit the nail on the head. The loopy throw is harder to control and means a loss of momentum. A flatter throw you can let run past you and then run onto it. Peter Schmeichel was excellent at those and would often set MU up on the counter, especially when defending corners, with a throw to the half way line with the trajectory as mentioned.

Anyway, I'm filtering you now - I was away from here for a long time, and it's interesting how you have targeted me from the time that I started posting on here again. I would guess that you have something to do with that Gess guy or whatever he was called.

His YouTube highlights showed him pinging low, long balls straight to team mates both from feet and hands. Not seen any of that since he came to Elland Road.

He could probably land a throw in from inside our half straight in to the opposition box.weasel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 12:48 pm You sir have hit the nail on the head. That would be original.
Actually some of Ampadu’s throws were from too far out and just flopped in the box like a flaccid wotsit.
Maybe overused at times.

Maybe our goalkeeper coach sucks? (Whoever he is).YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 1:06 pm His YouTube highlights showed him pinging low, long balls straight to team mates both from feet and hands. Not seen any of that since he came to Elland Road.
Meslier was similar, debut his passing was sensational.
Few years with Orta's mate who'd never played above amateur level and that went.
Just looked we have another non league footballer as coach.

I agree, the goalkeepers we have seem to get, get worse when they are at Leeds.
Leeds should do like Liverpool and get rid of the crap coach and get a decent goalkeeping coach in.

Re: Lucas Perri
against Newcastle Amps should of thrown to a player 5 metres away who could then cross the ball into the box. As you say Amps over used the long throw too many times
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

Re: Lucas Perri
Or he could take throw-ins in our half and then scarper straight back to his penalty area asap
Seriously though, I thought that with Ampadu’s 35 yard throws.
Maybe stick to throwing from the edge of the penalty box to the goal line in future, anywhere in that region.

Re: Lucas Perri
I’ve seen their winning goal from a few angles now and the ball is on the floor as he gets a fingertip to it and that’s harder to flick away than if it had just bounced an inch higher.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 2:31 pm His diving is good, too goo in fact, so much so that he dives over the ball
Still felt he may have done better with it but it’s fine margins.
Ironically, if he hadn’t got a fingertip to it, it probably would’ve have looked a better goal and he might not have got the stick for it.
