I watched the classic 1982 WC SF - France v W Germany earlier today on ITVX - I’m counting it for today’s games.
I was going to to skip through bits but it’s such a good game.
The referee added one minute but ended up playing three for Schumacher’s GBH assault on Battiston and substitutions 🥴

Wales v Ghana tonight KO @ 7-45pm.

Live on BBC Wales.

Update;
Just found out that Jayden Lienou from our academy is in the Welsh squad tonight. BBC Sport are reporting him as an 18 year old left back and he's yet to make his debut for the Leeds first team being an unused substitute for our last 2 PL games.

USA v Germany about to kick off. Aaronson is not in the starting 11. I'm not surprised by that.

Germany score within the first 2 minutes. Former LUFC player Tyler Adams gave up a stupid foul just outside the box. Kimmich to Havertz who scored on the header. Argh.... :shock:

Antonee Robinson just made a Word Class strike to score in the 37th minute. Goal comes off a corner kick with a poor clearance. What a Goal!!! Score 1-1. USA has had the better of this match since the 2nd minute goal from Germany.

HT 1-1

Germany were strong over the first 10 minutes of the match. They scored off a free kick by Kimmich that was curled into the box and headed in by Havertz in the six yard box. USA came into the game and had the better of possession for much of the first half. They earned 8 corner kicks and ultimately scored off one of them. Germany then made a last push in the first half.

Final Score
USA 1 vs 2 Germany

I'm happy with the performance. A bit unlucky with the result. But I think USA are ready for the tournament! I'm optimistic for the first time in a while. 8-)
