30 year old Bundesliga mainstay.

He is in the top 100 appearance makers in Bundesliga history with 394.

He's also made nearly 100 appearances in European club football and has a Champions League runners up medal to his name.

Originally a flying winger pacey and direct for Bayer Leverkusen he transitioned into a more central role becoming a key player for a number of years for Borussia Dortmund.

Known for his vision, creativity and high risk high reward passes Brandt has been a highly creative player in his career with over 150 assists

He is also a goal threat with just over 100 goals at the top level.

In terms of similar players he's Pablo Hernandez like, but with respect better.

Criticism of him isn't unheard of though.

He has been accused of inconsistency throughout his career and some fans and managers have been frustrated by his turnover rate (because he always favours the progressive creative difficult pass it can go wrong).

Furthermore is a feeling he never quite lived up to his total potential as whilst he has had a very decent career it wasn't quite the level maybe was expected.

However he is still a highly sought after player with multiple clubs including Atletico Madrid and Roma trying to tempt the German international.

Would be a massive statement for us though.

3-4-2-1 would be my preference

I see absolutely 0 reason to lose the back 3.

Play him and presumably Wilson behind the striker.

Brandt would be an excellent addition.....

But.... We need a striker (Piroe off/DCL did brilliant this season but have a niggle about injuries with him same as nmecha). GK(Perri as first choice will cost points). LCB (if struijk goes), cover for lwb as we noticeably suffered without gudmundsson..... We could also use cover for Ampadu or Stach.

Don't think the above is much to ask.... And the Brandt addition would add a lot of missing creativity without being problematic if relegated.

Brandt would be excellent on a free.... Potentially 18 million in wages on a three year contract would be a snip. Think Hernandez type player with a bit more athleticism..... Kinda never reached the heights he should have but consistently performed and delivered. Brilliant footballing IQ for a pass/movement.

Hes been at Dortmund for a while so wants to move.

The agents offered the side the opportunity to join but atm Beth's turned them down as they don't feel they need players in his position.
