Can’t believe I just witnessed that. Extremely gritty performance from Cape Verde. Kudos to them.
Really impressed by them.
Could easily dismiss the Spain game as Spain just not getting going.
Or Uruguay just being the mess they've been.
To push Argentina that far and come back from behind repeatedly
Brilliant

Cape Verde played better football last night than England have done in the whole tournament.
Credit to the players and especially the coaches. First class effort for such a small nation.

Spain/Portugal 70/30

I'm not liking the way Marsch's team has started.
Come on Morocco.

He may be a self obsessed, arrogant, show monkey but can't knock the job Marsch has done.
Canada have only qualified for 3 World Cups including this one.
They'd never got a point before.

We have the players, but again the manager seems to be the issue. Very Farke like, getting results but not pretty.

48 teamer, playing at home helps that. If it were a 32 team event they may still not have a point

In the interest of North American unity, I'm rooting for our Canadian cousins today. Even though Jesse Marsch gets on my every last nerve, I like this group of players. And they are off to a flying start. Kinda like the early days of JM at Leeds. This game reminds me of that early season home match where we beat Chelsea. Just pressed the hell out of em and they couldn't cope.

Perhaps helps but plenty of bigger teams gone out.
Been the better side here as well so far.

This is not the same Morocco we saw in the 2022 World Cup tournament.

Hakimi with the sly little smile. He knew exactly what he was doing. Baiting the guy defending him to take a Yellow Card.

That's a good half from Canada! They frustrated the hell out of Morocco. This is turning out to be a much tougher match for Morocco than I expected for sure.
