Carlos Espí has a release clause of €25 million and an estimated market value of €20 million.

Carlos looks a bit special.

Kind of signing that can only happen for Leeds if other clubs are looking the other way..

Should have sold him at the time.

Has the first touch of Messi but his second touch could sometimes be just plain messy.
His second touch was a tackle

Espi would be another investment spend wouldn't he? Young player who we'd pay too much for because of him only recently signing his current contract, but if he realizes his potential could get a big cheque for him later? He's a big lad by the looks of things.

Demirovic seems a worthwhile option too for me. He had a good season in the Bundesliga last year. But he now has Champions League football in front of him, so I cant see him leaving.

What's the latest on Tresoldi? Last I read Dortmund were interested?

LUFC can never get it right WHEN to sell a player
Leeds need to bring in a midfielder who can score goals and a decent number 9 in Jan 2027.

Was the case of a rock and a hard place for Leeds United. The sale was pulled by minority shareholders 49rs at the time and that action has been pilloried far and wide.

However, had the sale gone through would have been equally controversial. Leeds were on the slippery sloe and heading for relegation. Harrison satying or going was not going to alter that very much I don't think. However, the squad numbers were not healthy and quality was lacking throughout. Selling Harrison would have weakened things even more and would take another card out of the Managers hands. That £20m income would have been lost in the ether and made not a lot of difference to anything in the overall scheme of things. Leeds ownership would have been accused of throwing the baby out with the bath water!

We didn't use Willy or Cry much that year, both of whom could have easily replaced Jack who wasn't great in the run in..

If nothing else the 49rs are financially savvy and their outfits know how to run major sporting clubs. So not worried and not complaining. Living the dream they are not. :)

Do you not think that the 49'ers are astute when it comes to rules/finances? We are one of the only clubs I know of that under financial restraint, we never go so far as to break the rules. Clubs of our (recent) ilk that spring-to-mind are Forest/Everton/Leicester...

Nope, I don't like overpaying but the money is up to the owners to sort out.

Muharemovich and Trafford together reduce our available revenue against PCR by £18m per annum for the next 4 years based on a 4 year contract.

Wages are taken into consideration on a year by year basis, so if each were on £100k/week that would be £10.4m per annum.

The 49ers obviously feel they can work with that.
