Will be interesting to see how much playing time Gelhardt gets with Hull buying so many new players. My fear is that he will have slid right down the pecking order and hardly get a look in - and then possibly end up going out on loan in January.
Gelhardt will struggle to get into the first XI for a while as he has missed the last six weeks of training/games, plus they may have made an upgrade amongst their sixteen signings.

With Gnonto I think it is win win for both player and Leeds. If he does well then he likely either signs permananently for his loan club or has many more clubs interested in him (and hopefully thena bidding war) or comes back to us having shown he is ready to be a starter. If he does poorly over there then it backs up the point that he wasn't good enough for us and has meant he hasn't simply been picking up his wage here and not contributing much - or getting in the way of another player. We then try to offload him and he goes to a club where he can get regular playing time even if it is a case of dropping down considerably in terms of size of club he goes to.
Many of the players we send out on loan notoriously don't do well, with the odd exception such as Joffy,
If at the start of summer I was told that we'd not lose anyone from the first team starters and only sign James Trafford I would have have been delighted to have accepted that.
As it is we have far exceeded that.

Went with a 7. Good late signings on paper but its what they do on the pitch that counts. The earlier signings have already shown what they can do and have shown themselves to be a very good upgrade to the team/squad.

We all probably were keeping an eye on what Leeds will do in the window.
Well for me its been a success. Elvedi, Taric in defence, now Melvin B at left back and up front we have the lightning fast Bahoya.
Gone have the days when we all were so disappointed on transfer deadline day... My only gripe is the playmaker in the midfield but
this was probably asking to much... Well done Leeds!!!
We absolutely added quality and depth to our goalkeeping and defensive unit. I’m very happy with those moves! And we added a couple of attacking options with promise.
Now let’s secure our place in the league. And go for a true attacking catalyst in the next window.
8/10. Think we raised the floor and cleared out a LOT of dead wood. Would’ve been nice to have the outgoings on a more permanent basis, but the options to buy valuations are all pretty sensible. Also would’ve been nice to add another striker, as I feel that’s the only potential blind spot…but Okafor can play there in a pinch. And if Joseph can heal up quickly (and stay healthy), he’s not the world’s worst 3rd/4th striker option. Again, 8/10.
