I think Elvedi might be able to play full back to the same quality Struijk did which was ok in a pinch but created issues.
Why would Farke be looking to play Elvedi at full back when we have Bogle, Justin, Bard and probably GG all available?

Yes maybe in an emergency but for now seems a bizarre discussion to have.

Trafford
Elvedi, Bijol, Tarik
Bogle, Ampadu, Stack, Gabi
Wilson, Okafor
DCL

Then see Tanaka, Aaronson, Justin and JMB (maybe) from the bench.
Really hate that line up and it's failed up to now, but you're probably right.

Not sure why you think that system has failed ?

Pretty sure we won at Forest on the opening day playing like that and once you introduce Gudmundsson, Wilson & Okafor to the starting eleven it makes us stronger.

Very pleased that neither Mitoma or Minteh are available. That seriously reduces their pace threat. Plus Wellbeck has gone.
They've had a strange start to the season, scored seven but conceded four.

About what I said tbf when he pulled up. Seen it too many times. Not worth rushing either, easily reinjured if you come back too early. Elvedi looks a downgrade but he's the next man up at RCB

Back starting by mid to late November hopefully

Tore my glute 8 weeks ago, just been starting to feel normal(ish) last week or so. Still not 100% though.

Didn't he do that on Sunday?

Ampadu dropped back for Rodon, Elvedi went right and Bogle into midfield, at least for the remainder of the first half.

We got very lucky with injuries last season.

Hopefully our only bad one.

Half expected Joe to he fine (all be it seen different elsewhere few days ago) given how often he limps around and recovered next game.

JR is a big loss for us. He's been excellent for us so far this season.
He's quick for a big bloke as well.
It is what it is though. We have the squad depth to cope.

We didn't have Bard or GG. So think it was more a case of introducing Elvedi with the view to then changing to the back 4 at half time rather than hooking Bijol before half time.

We signed 2 centrebacks in the summer and a full back that can also play cb.

Well yes but we also sold 2 centre backs. That said we have plenty of options as it stands, it’s when you get a second injury for the same position that it starts to get more of a concern.
