Dave Kitson to sign...

Post by 1964white »

Just posted this on our tranfer rumours thread

A good friend of mine who rang me at 9.30 this morning who has a contact at Stoke reckons that Dave Kitson is due to sign for Leeds in the next couple of days

Starting to appear on various Leeds & Stoke websites, could be something in it :!:

Not for a few years though. Done nowt since signing for Stoke.

If Grayson can get the fire back into him it could be an unbelievable signing. If not he could be quite the Ricketts.

Probably on good money. Would Stoke pay part of his wages like City are for Bellamy and we ended up doing for Fowler?

Don't think this would be the right signing for us IMO. We need a striker with pace to stretch defences. Also as the Dr. said he would be on good money and we have heard from KB that we won't be spending ridiculous money on player wages, and rightly so.

I don't know the contact so it could be bull but my friend says he is a reliable source, we'll see :!:

Unsure about him too tbh although it would have to be a good deal for us financially if Bates/Grayson was to signed him, that we do know

If we are going to spend big money on somebodies wages would like to see somebody different, I think hes a bit too much like what we have already

Paynter might be fit by then. Gradel has 1 more game banned, and Somma is free to play, and we dont know if he will be an instant hit yet!

Now i would be excited if we signed Charlie Austin, a terrific prospect for the future

I suspect Billy Paynter would be happy too !

Well, I guess the thing about this signing is that it fits well within our current style of football. And if Larry pulls it off, and can get him firing again, then he'll be a very good signing.

I'm unsure on him too, would like to have seen someone better coming in but, like has been said, if SG can get him firing then ok, but do we really want "if's" and "maybe's" I know we need a striker but i would rather wait for better options.
