Thanks Harry, I'd gathered that.

a) A joke, as without his goals this season, we would be in a relegation battle, and

b) not of his own volition, but a cash-in by the board/current 'manager'

Players leave, fact of life, but I think a blind man on a galloping horse could see that Becchio loves Leeds and the support he gets from (most) fans. I have been critical of him in the past, but have always maintained that, given the right service, he will score goals. The non-football we're currently playing is about as much use to our leading goalscorer as a marzipan d*ldo, yet that clown Warnock blames him for the debacle at Barnsley :x

If only this thread read 'Warnock wants to leave'

I hate this style of football just as much as the next man, but to be fair to Becchio he must be thriving on it,,,, I mean 19 so far this season, and more to come. Probably his best scoring form in a Leeds shirt, just think what he could do if we actually played football for once (like we did at Huddersfield)!!!!!

To me at least, if someone wants to leave for football reasons then fair play to them.

(rather than for cash)

Clubs are quick enough to dump people so to expect players to be different is wrong IMHO.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

He's certainly doing something right, but I'm not convinced hoofball plays to his strengths. Wins his fair share of headers (doesn't win quite a few, mind!), but without support from midfield, the ball is invariably given back to the opposition. Decent balls in from both flanks (Byram and Hall?), and Luci will score a sh*t-load, or at least make the keeper work. We have the players to play the ball on the deck, why Warnock won't let them do so beggars belief. And whilst Becchio might have had his poorest game in a while against Barnsley, he was by no means solely culpable for that inept display. Time Colin took a look at himself, and took his head out of his own arse!

Warnock on Becchio after the game today - "I've talked to him but if players nod their head & say yes gaffer, do they mean that or go out & phone their agent?"
Also on Becchio: "He’s definitely got to play better. When the 1st of Feb comes, if everything’s put to bed he’ll hopefully start again..."

What a tit this manager really is!!!
If Becchio's head isn't with it don't play him and give him a kick up the ass. Otherwise stop using him as a scapegoat to relieve some of the pressure on yourself. Bloody cretin.

Exactly ldj, Becchio is never gonna score if he's halfway up the pitch, he needs to be in the box getting service from WINGERS!!!
