January transfer rumours, now with added loan gossip

Post by Twiggster »

As usual, let's please keep them all in one thread!

One of my Danish press contacts says he heard we have inquired about AAB winger, Kasper Kusk. This would be a fantastic signing if we can afford him. Watched him a few times this season and he is rocket powered, speed wise - and an excellent cross into the box player.

i think we need 3, striker, playmaker and a winger. peter whittingham would be ideal for the playmaker role.

Max Gradel to make a triumphant return to ER?

Need a good, speedy winger-type, could use a flashy striker, and a midfield general. That is all, GO!

Has Max even played this season, after his injury? Just what we need - another unfit player.

Well Bakerjames i`d probably guess we`ll need a big open cheque to attempt getting Dyer to arrive but investment needs to happen and quickly enough.

I know paddy parrot, jan is just around the corner. Knowing the fans luck, it probably won't happen till late next year.

I'm not sure if we need a winger, that would leave us lop-sided, surely?

I think another quick, proven striker would be nice and maybe another midfielder to push the current strikers. We could just do with some better quality depth IMO, another CB wouldn't go amiss if we persist with 3 at the back, as I don't think Peltier is the best cover there.

It's all about that little bit of quality to push us from just outside the playoffs (as we are) to cementing a place in them. I think autos are a three horse race now really, barring a dramatic change of form for those in and around.

Not rumours, more a wish list:

Paddy McCourt - winger with a touch of class.
Niall McGinn - goal scoring winger.
Beware the fury of a patient man - John Dryden.

You just want a Leeds team full of Northern Irish players  :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

I also want a team of Norn Irish players! but here is who I would want.

Shane Ferguson
Nahki Wells
Lee Tomlin
Will Hughes
Tom Ince

Although they would cost waaaaay more than we would spend I imagine!

But I think a left back, 3 midfielders and a striker is what we require.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

As much as I would love to see us get Brunt, I can't see West Brom selling and is he not the Cap there? I think you can add all our left backs Bar Colin and Pugh to the leaving list too!

Irish players, actually. McGinn and McCourt are a rarity amongst Norn Ireland players - they are very good AND actually decided to play for their wee country
