Take the blinkers off and compare the Brighton and Leeds team and tell me if you had to pick an XI using both teams how many would be Leeds players? Yet we are simply expected to beat them.

Like I said in my previous post we won't simply win games because we are the famous Leeds Utd. We are at best a mid table side ability wise.

that was just a bad day at the office every team has them especially in the cup, you only need to look at our own cup runs over the past few years to see weve had done exactly to the same to teams 1 and 2 leagues above us.

It was one of many bad days this season Hibbi

Rochdale didnt just beat us they absolutely outplayed & battered us by playing football as it should be played, good retention of the ball, pass & move at pace.....this is how they play week in week out because their manager insists on playing football in the correct way as oppose to the hoof style of football we fans endure on a regular basis. 2-0 flatterered us as a 5-0 defeat should have been the appropriate scoreline
Rochdale are a L2 side with no stars who obviously work hard in training & get the basics right, oh & also entertain their fans

Btw i'll make a comparison, a club who sold their top striker.........Burnley

Who has said football has to played passing the ball about a lot of teams have had success playing the long ball game admit it is not pretty to watch but if it gets you results there is nothing wrong with it,Look at West Ham the other week they parked the bus against Chelsea it got them a point and if they do it again somewhere else and get a result good luck to them as regards to FA cup games there always has been and will be in the future unexpected results you only have to look at some of our results over the past few years that's the beauty of the FA cup and many fans would not change it.

Excuses, excuses, excuses !

The writing was on the wall after some woeful performances prior to the Rochdale game, best thing of the day was devouring one of their pies

The mighty Rochdale have had the same manager since 2006. Having a manager allows not only the team but a club to develop. All the players at Rochdale are players brought in by their current manager, their squad may have a player or two that are now surplus to requirements but nowhere near the amount that a club that chops and changes its manager will have. All the players at the club have been brought in by their current manager to play in positions and a formation that the current manager has decided upon. Youth players will have been made to play in the same formation ensuring a natural flow.

Note a current Premier League club that hired a manager in 1986. That manager didn't win a trophy for 4 years as he changed the youth set-up and brought in the players he wanted and got the team playing to a style he wanted and in a formation he chose. It took him a while to rid the club of the players he didn't want, not always replacing them with players that immediately shone or even looked any better than those he got rid off. It took him time to build the side he wanted, get the players in he wanted (be it signings or youth players) and to make the team his.

After a few years the players at the club all knew who was boss. They knew the boss wasn't going to be sacked and knew they had to put in 100%.

That club recently changed managers and brought in a new manager. The current players are in a position of flux. Some may not be wanted by the manager, some may not want to play for the manager, some may not like the new formation, some might not suit the new formation etc etc. Will the new manager be giving time to mould the club the way he wants it, like his predecessor did?

A club needs stability. Revie didn't get to a great start. In today's world he would have been sacked and probably consigned to the managerial scrap heap getting a normal job and never managing again.

Yes B Mc might not be the next Messiah but he needs to be given a chance. I'm sure plenty of people questioned a lot of things Revie did in his early days at Leeds and from living in Mcr during Fergies early years he didn't have a lot of supporters. Similarly a few years back a lot of MU fans wanted the club to get rid of Fergie when he had a couple of poor seasons.

Not Excuses yes we did did have some terrible performances suggest if you love football played as you say it you should start maybe watching Arsenal because at the moment they are the nearest team to play total football but then again they have won NOWT over the past few seasons .

You know & I know if there was no Leeds United I wouldn't bother watching live football probably head off to Headingley (my birthplace) & watch the Rhino's

You can't change your allegiance of your team in my book, i'll leave that to the codheads
