It's a bit spooky but for the past few months i've had quite a few dreams about Russell Crowe buying Leeds and us having links with the Rabbitohs! In one I went over to Sydney and sold Leeds United merchandise in their superstore

The story started with someone tweeting Crowe to take over Leeds and save us, a joking tweet. Crowe, a Leeds supporter for a while now but who got some more attention quite recently about, has pondered to his inquisitive fan base whether it would be a good idea to takeover Leeds.

This light-hearted interaction gets picked up by BBC, ITV, etc as an actual news story?

A consortium consisting of Russell Crowe, Jack P Shephard, Kelly Jones, Jon Richardson and Chris Moyles would be an interesting thought. We'd be covered for film, TV, music, comedy and radio.

The likes of Simon Austin and Adam Pope have now tweeted to say that they understand the interest is very plausible and not a publicity stunt.

What we need now is some of our Aussie contingent, likes of Harry for instance, to give us some details about Crowe's handling of the Rabbitohs and how he has helped turned that club around completely.

Since Russell Crowe took over the South Sydney Rabbitohs the turnaround has been amazing.

Have a look at our record from 1990 to 2006 and our record since then - especially the last three seasons.

Not only has the on field performance improved (dramatically in the last few years) but off field we have become profitable and have the most members in the competition.
