Rudy and White told to find new clubs
We have released both Rudy Austin and Aidy White.
http://www.leedsunited.com/news/article ... ummer-2015
Can understand White with him being so injury prone but really felt Austin was worth keeping.
Sure sign Redder is a gonner.......he stated many times last season that he wanted Rudy to stay as a LUFC player.
Must be Massimo's retained list not NR :-(

Well, that is abit of a surprise to me. White i expected, however i was expecting austin to stick around. He wasnt exactly a cemented starter i suppose with mowatt / cook figuring more frequently. so lets hope there will be some new faces inbound.

White & Austin would consistently do well in League One

Rudi will stay in the Champs easily.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Re: Rudy and White told to find new clubs
Whilst Austin has the occasional good game if the club is to improve we do need better, more consistent players. No point cluttering up the squad with 'fillers'
For all NR has said he wanted Austin it is hardly likely he would be saying get rid of Austin he's cr@p while the player was still under contract and part of the squad.

Rudi may stay in championship, I have no doubts he'll remain as inconsistent as ever & no team will succeed with Austin in their line-up.....we can do much better infact N'Goyi maybe the answer given time, we'll see !mav wrote:Rudi will stay in the Champs easily.

Goodbye my Rudi, goodbye my friend, you have been the one, you have been the one for me.
Championship bound no doubt. Probably to a team that will compete higher in the league than us. Very much in the same boat as ole BJ when he was here... "we should be aiming for far better midfielders than him"...as he went on to the Premiership and we tried to replace him.

i'm sorry for Aidy and Thompson because i thought they was a good players, but their release it could be normal if see their last season
Rudy, instead, is useful player i would not have released but It could be sold in summer

very much the correct decision to let him go, he got his chance to prove him self at this level and he failed imo.

Re: Rudy and White told to find new clubs
I didn't say he wasn't. But I will say this, a championship team will pick up Austin, and that Championship team will be a lot more stable than we are. Yes there are better players than Austin out there, but we don't have a hope of affording them or finding them with our current system.1964white wrote: Come on MangoBradley Johnson was & is ten times the player Austin will ever be !!
There was decent excuses when McCormack went. And Smith. And Warnock. And Austin. And there will probably be decent excuses when Cook goes. And Byram. And Mowatt. I have no problem with good players moving on, its what we are replacing them with. I mean I wouldn't rely on Smith being my number one striker, but what an option to have. Same with Austin.
Take Bournemouth players for example. How many of their League 1 team would we have heard of at the start of the season and been really keen to sign as we believed they were good enough to join Leeds and get out of this league. (And I would like some sort of proof if people are going to say there knew of their players.) We could have signed one maybe two players from them, and it mightn't have made much of a difference. Bournemouth had a system, a strategy, momentum and were consistently, and strategically built a squad. We don't have any of those, and we can replace player by player every season, and we'll yo-yo around this league.

Re: Rudy and White told to find new clubs
Sorry to see him go. No, he isn't irreplaceable. No one in the playing staff is. I think we should have kept him for a couple of reasons:
Firstly he gave us another option- something we sorely lack. Our other midfielders are pretty similar. Should Mowatt & Murphy fail to find a route through a team, Rudy gives us another option. Secondly he is experienced, and seemingly well respected- he is a leader. This is one of Bambas key attributes and has proved very valuable. Our young midfield would benefit from him being involved.
And for all those saying he failed- does this look familiar?
125 - Murphy
77 - Silvestri
61 - Cook
56 - Warnock
45 - Mowatt
48 - Austin
33 - Byram
32 - Antenucci
39 - Bamba
29 - Bellusci
26 - Bianchi
25 - Adryan
24 - Berardi
26 - Cooper
18 - Taylor C
15 - Doukara
14 - Sharp
14 - Morison
10 - Poleon
10 - Taylor S
10 - Wootton
02 - Ajose
02 - Pearce
01 - Sloth

Re: Rudy and White told to find new clubs
Fully concur with the excellent last two posts.
Not saying Austin was class or irreplaceable but we don't have anyone like him in the squad (Ngoyi is very much unproven as yet) and with us likely to be handicapped by a lack of cash again, will we be able to recruit anyone any better ?!
I seriously have my doubts.
As others have said he is likely to join a championship team and flourish.
I wish him well as he always gave he's all for the team, there's others whom I wouldn't say the same.......
