To be fair, he just seems sad.
Not seen this before, but from and interview in the Times he said his time here has been a nightmare:
"I'm sad and embarrassed. My dream was to do my best but I've achieved nothing and family aren't even with me. I'm trying to protect the club but at the same time it means I have exposed my self. The result is that the fans says Massimo its time to go. So I ask myself what am I doing here? The Football League say I'm dishonest. It's a weird feeling. Mmmm so they have to come with what roughly £20million to buy the club, then how much per year to run it? That's before they buy any players and according to SE we need 5 or 6 better quality than we currently have so even at only £2million each that's £10-12million.
Would love it if this happened but the figures are pretty scary and I really can't see how they can do it without some major backers and then wouldn't they be in control not the fans?

I'm sure that they'll be reaching out to backers. On the BBC article (linked) and Adam Pope says that they have people willing to back them... I just hope that they go about it the right way, whoever they manage to get in.

I can't find much (any, really) info on who's involved at the top level of it. I don't think they'd be able to buy the club without having the requisite wealth behind them... They'd never beat a fit a proper owners test

Running any business is tough. Football business is totally a different kettle of fish. Without people with business brains & serious investment LUFC could quite easily go tits up

You'd like to think that these guys will do what's best for the club though and hopefully not rush into things without the correct preparation.

He is embarrassed because he has bought a ferrari & not maintained it properly and seized the engine.
He is not used to this level of scrutiny. The fans, the forums, the press & the football league are all watching him closely .
Mass thinks he can do what he want's and, even though it has taken a while, he has realised he has behaved like an idiot to good people who have LUFC in their blood. Way too many managers, law suits,unpaid bills, broken promises and now he lost the fans & we have called him on it.
That is what he is embarrased about, but he does not have the balls to apologise to anyone that he has shat on.
This is a strategic move on his part. He hopes that we are so scared at the prospect of another shyster like MasterBates that we will beg him to stay.
As for selling to the fans, rubbish!
He is dangling a hook to see what nibbles.
The man may be a maverick, but he's not a fool, he will want his money back.

So controlling share - 51% ? lets say 25 million quid. Player investment and new manager 7-10 mill, rental of Elland road, (buy back would no longer be feasible I would think) then running costs
