Yeboah by a million percent. Cracking strike by Doukara but far easier to hit, a lot closer to the goal, an easier angle and against a lesser goalkeeper than David James. Doukara's goal is one that you will see a few similar to it every season whereas Yeboah's goal still lives in the memory (along with his goals v Wimbledon, Monaco and Sheff Wed which showed that it was no fluke unlike most of the strikes like Doukara's where the player will never hit another as sweetly in their career, let alone the same season).

I can remember watching that Yeboah goal v Liverpool - as it dropped out of the sky I had time to think to myself "don't hit that you bleedin idiot what a waste" - proved what I know

Well said, I'd hate him to read this and get all despondent, he really has proved his critics wrong with some of his performances and his all round attitude to the cause.

chest, knee, beat player, unstoppable half volley. When I played nailing a half volley perfectly always seemed to feel sweeter than the volley. For that reason I've always preferred it as a skill. It's a similar feeling to playing the perfect cover drive, the cut always looks better but the cover drive is the rolls royce of cricket strokes

I reckon Doukara's goal was comparable to TY's iconic strikes but when you look back to 1995..Yeboah's sh*t didn't even stink..he was adored...SD is still trying to win over a large section of fans that are rightly slow to forgive his shameful involvement in the sick 6 incident.
Had Yeboah have scored an identical goal to SD's to make it a holy trinity of volley's..we would i think anyway, be marking it closer to the other two in terms of a skill and execution tariff..
Just as an aside..do we have the speed in mph for SD's strike last night? Just to see how it measures up to TY's

I was siding with Yeboahs but the more times i viwed them, the more of an argument becomes credible for doularas goal.

50/50. I think they are very different volleys and I couldn't fairly compare them.

people making out the ball just landed at Doukara where as if you watch it a few times, he actually had to move a lot and pre empt the balls position and was still moving when he struck the ball and it was swirving with power right into the top corner.

Yeboah hit it from longer and a bit harder but it was an easier flight of the ball to calculate for his shot in my opinion as it was straight on and infront of him but the sheer power, distance and the crossbar makes it a beauty.
