I get what your saying but where he lost possession is where he was supposed to be and he needs to be able to try these things imo or he's just vanilla, when he loses possession then the problem becomes Klich's or Phillips. If he is playing the Enganche (sp?) role then he's not supposed to defend. It's way more serious if your full back or centre back loses possession there but again the defence should move counter the threat and that's the one thing we're not getting quite right yet though Phillips showed how it's supposed to be done albeit versus a team that doesn't look like it can break with effectiveness. Predict and move to intercept before it becomes an issue

I want to see that a lot more of that from our DMF/Sweeper

doubled up on he gets trebled up on, so he is bound to lose the ball sometimes.
(Anyway where is the press when he loses the ball... it is not entirely his fault, but we do need a scapegoat don't we???)
You have to think with 3 players on him the rest of the team are only playing against 7
outfield players which makes a pretty good advantage.
We did improve immediately once Forshaw & Pearce replaced Saiz & Harrison Rab

I honesly thimk we need players like him and on occasions before I've defended him as we need someone to try the things others are scared to try but he's giving it away cheaply atm, that's what I have a problem with.

Positives

Better team selection.
Pablo Hernandez's class performance on his full return.
Kalvin Phllips immense, can't recall one misplaced pass, dictated play from the back.
Roofe scoring again when playing in his correct position.
Alioski much better.
Forshaw impressed when coming on as a sub.
At last Tom Pearce got 30 minutes first-team football.
Yes we were playing a very poor outfit, you still have to beat whoever the opposition is !

Negatives

First-half shabby performance
Saiz's poor form, we looked much better without him.
Harrison is not good enough
Berardi's injury
Should have scored five or six, at least we are still creating chances

7 Peacock-Farrell
7 Ayling
8 Cooper
9 Phillips
4 Berardi
8 Alioski
9 Hernandez
7 Klich
5 Saiz
4 Harrison
8 Roofe
Subs
7 Dallas
8 Forshaw
7 Pearce

A joy to see Pablo back and I might have to join 64 on his Kalvin for England crusade, as he was magnificent tonight. Thought Pearce looked well below par and Forshaw had his best game for us.

He made me smile every time he was on the ball as did Pablo :)

I can't recall Phillips making one stray pass :supbo:

I am a big Saiz fan. When he doesn't spit or dive! I just think against Forest he could be better used as an impact Sub in the 2nd half.
Not dropped as such. Just a little rotation
My my my, such a lot of guns around town and so few brains
