Problem is if you bring in Bamford, who'll probably get in a lot less scoring positions than Roofe, then you lose Roofe himself. I like Bamford but no way we are going 2 up top. Roofe off the bench is unproven too as he has shown zero ability to get into games when bought on late.

Well look at Bamford. One chance v Bolton and he burries it. He's the only lethal player we have, we can't afford to leave him on the bench all the time. He plays today, he probably scores 2 or 3.

The lack of goals from the likes of Klich, Alioski, Douglas, Phillips is a concern. Harrison has 1, nowhere near good enough. Not sure where the goals are going to come from.

Therefore another midfielder with goals in his locker is required. Adam Reach anyone?

As ludicrous as it sounds given he only turned 18 last month, i think the answer to this is Jack Clarke.

Obviously buying quality but at the moment i think Clarke is the one player we have who could give us that bit extra we lack.

Clarke from the left is a goalscoring threat, Ali from the right is a goalscoring threat.

Dowell from Everton is available for loan. Scored a lot for Forest last season and we could move Pablo back to the wing and allow Klich to have a rest when Coops is back.

The ideal signing would be Ibai Gomez, but no way will Radz put his hands in his pockets for that. Expect another poor loan from Chelsea or Man city.

Manu Vallejo is another we should be after, but I read he has an €8m release clause, so no chance of us paying that.

Top of the table and a single defeat after a run of seven wins in a row; and it seems we are a team lacking in quality, in depth and riddled with weaknesses according to some. How bad is everyone else?

We have conceded too many goals in our last three games and have paid the price in this match. That happens, those three don't change how well we have done so far this season.

Another sluggish first-half where we end up chasing the game again, the comeback was never on the cards today as we struggled to find any rhythm against a dogged Hull side who capitalised on our errors. The whole team were under-par, just a bad day at the office

Just watched the highlights on Quest. We actually had 4 or 5 really good chances. So probably not as bad as I thought.
A bad day at the office. We move on to Forest.

Clear of second place by 3 and better goal difference and third by 5 points, Cooper and Bamford will be back after forest, hopefully two signings early on in January, and we’ll be grand!
Today was the most confident I’ve been that we would win, with the team we had, thought we would rest one or two during the week, so this loss is a shock, but this team has bottle, I expect us to bounce back against Forest

For the 30 minutes he was on the pitch Roberts appeared sprightly & fit Norm

One concern for me on fitness is Ayling, seems to have lost a yard of pace

I didnt see the game,just making general observations from what ive read and the clips ive seen plus my opinion before that.

Klich i just think is knackered, Roofe i dont think is a striker anyway (although he has a good record recently) and Forshaw is approaching O'Kane territory.

You are joking, right? Roofe is in his best form for Leeds now he's playing up front on his own and you're saying he's not a striker?! Just look at the types of goals he's scoring - tap-ins, headers, volleys coming from deep and beating men on the edge if the box... He has a knack of being in the right place - showing excellent positioning and decision making for the role.

He's our top scorer and one of the two proper goal threats we have available currently. Bamford will be an option once fit, but right now it's Kemar or Roberts and I know who is rather have starting.
