God, this Leeds team is frustrating to watch though.

FT 1 - 1, very disappointing on so many levels, much the better team throughout. Several good pen shouts turned down and there was a clear foul in the build up to their goal. Same as last season , need to be more clinical - had our chances to put this one to bed, 2 points dropped.

Two points dropped, mostly due to some poor refereeing, but also our inability to put games to bed.

Once again our poor finishing loses us the game. We can have all the posession in the world, but if we cant find the back of the net we are gonna get mugged time after time. Have we learned nothing from last year?

SOS...insert your own words.
Already bored with this...all the possession, lack of inventiveness, lack of height, unable to finish teams off. Heard it all before ? ... because its the same team. Yes we should have had penalties and Cooper was fouled before their goal but they had 1 shot and it went in...heard it before ? You bet you have !

The ref did not do us any favours, but even so, should have come away with a win there. Very disappointing result.

On the plus side if we play like that every week we win way way more than we don’t.

Same old story unfortunately, thought we played OK and Costa looked a handful when he came on.

That's why we won't go up, if we can't win these games. Saiz and Jansson and we win that comfortably. Too many fans were declaring we won't miss Pontus, yet I said we will concede so many cheap goals as no one is dominating at set pieces. Yes the ref was dreadful, but Forest had one shot on target and we had no one on the line. Just no pace through the middle, Klich and Forshaw are too slow. Costa, Clarke, Shack, Nketiah are needed to be on the pitch. Phillips again lucky not to be off, I said he's over reckless lunging in and still hasn't learnt.

We didn't test the goalkeeper enough either considering he was nervous.

Bamford desperately unlucky in front of goal and obviously we got none of the decisions.
We need to find a way to make clear chances because teams are now just sitting back in banks of 4 and giving us all the time in the world.

Well I suppose the positive is that seeing nothing has changed we are nailed on top 6.
We desperately need a No 10. Dallas and Forshaw get so much time and room to create in the final third but lack the ability to create.
Ali looks short of game time as does Costa.

Re: Leeds Utd v Nottingham Forest - Match Thread
Bit deflated but the performance was probably better than last week in the end. Ref had a shocker, missed two pens, and two fouls in the lead up to the goal, including White getting pulled back when about to clear.
Casilla - 7 - Nothing to do, Forest were toothless
Dallas - 8 - Is growing into the role well, Ayling may struggle to regain
White - 9 - Outstanding for me, he's only getting better
Coop - 9 - Couple of great tackles and at lest two lovely diagonal crossfield passes
Douglas - 8 - Good game today, linked up well with Harrison
Phillips - 7 - Looked better when he sat deeper, but probably should have been sent off. Still not at his best.
Forshaw - 8 - Combative, always looking for the ball
Klich - 9 - Sublime passing and always around the ball. Another assist
Herandez - 9 - Not as influential as last week bit a clinical finish...
Harrison - 9 - Always available, always finding space and holes, we looked poorer when Alio took over and that always says something for me
Bamford - 6.5 - Willing runner but the lack of pace and needing 2 touches for almost everything are the worrying features. Someone playing off him may help
Costa - 8 - Bought down twice in the box and I can see that being a pattern this season. He's going to be a nightmare for defences once he starts. He scores or creates a goal if he's not fouled today
Alioski - 6 - Was on the pitch for a bit.

A frustrating point but better than none. I wouldn't have seen us scoring that first goal last season and we'd have lost to just that kind of shitty goal. Only second game of the season so far too early for doom and gloom and 'I told you so's'.
