Monk claiming they dominated the whole game is amusing. All their chances came from hoofing and corners. Still we were poor and they were average.
They imo shaded the game but dominated, no.
We had 1 off the line, 1 wonder save, 1 hit the bar, so yeah no Monky

Nketiah didn't even look at the wendies player, so how can it be intentional. I swear if he gets banned while the Millwall cheat didn't... but this is the corrupt EFL.
Never, the EFL corrupt, anyone would think they are planning to keep us in the Championship to pay their wages...................

Sky desperate to send Nketiah off
Sorry I'm not having that, it was a talking point from the game and it was rightly discussed, as was the call for a pen on White at halftime, and tbf if the ref had spotted it he would have had no option to red card him.
If that has been a Leeds player on the end of that elbow we would have been calling for a red or retrospective action to be taken.

And those con trails in the sky are part of the conspiracy too.

For there to be retrospective action I think the panel would have to be convinced that the elbow was serious foul play.
Intent is not necessary the issue. I just think it was clumsy and he should get the benefit of the doubt.
But he was lucky he stayed on the pitch today, and probably saved us a point in doing so.

What was the difference between that and hitting someone with a stray elbow when you jump to head the ball?
It's not like he looked behind him and saw how small the wendies player was. It was just unlucky it was their only player who isn't a giant behind him.

No I wouldn't, as there was no intent. It's like when Sol Campbell got sent off for elbowing Solksjaer, that wasn't a red either.

Doesnt always need to be intent, the fact remains if someone elbows an opponent in the head or face it can be an automatic red.
My main response was to the claim that Sky were trying to get Ed sent off, it seems that anything short of gushing praise for anything Leeds is deemed a conspiracy to keep our club in the dark ages by some of the fanbase.

It's the fact they kept going on about it, trying to get both guests to say it should have been a red card. It was unfortunate, but it's not like he did it cynically. Like I said, it was just unfortunate it was their only player who wasn't a giant. But sky trying to turn it into something it isn't as per usual.
It was a big talking point in the game and they talked about it. That is what they do. I dont think it was dwelt on more than it should have been. The Ed/ Bambi story took up much if the post mortem.
They will talk about it on Monday when they do the referee stit as well.
Its TV, they need stories.

Afternoon all,
Brilliant win for England in the rugby, I hope they go on and win it
Monk's team talk for today:
Lads, I'm feeling very gingerish today.
As I predicted when I joined you, Leeds will be playing exactly the same team and formation all season, barring their usual plague of injuries.
I've decided to play without a goalie today, as in the unlikely event of us scoring a n own goal, I don't want one of their louts running on the pitch and chinning our goalie. This also gives us the chance to play an extra big lump up front, as you know we'll only be trying to score from set-pieces.
We have the extra insurance at the back of Bamford, who will play sweeper for us and clear the ball for a corner of throw-in as necessary. So you lads at the back, if you're in any doubt, give the ball to Bamford and we'll build from there.
Let them have all the ball they want, and they can carry on winning the possesion and domination stats, while we just go about taking the 3 points.
