an away derby game played in difficult conditions against a garry monk team who was sitting in third . never going to be pretty or easy.
most importantly we came away with a valuable point when we wasn't at our best. tbf at times this season we're going to have to scrap , dig in and ride our luck to get anything out of games like yesterday . lets be honest we're not good enough to play teams off the park week in week out.
two winnable but not easy home games to come !
Yes agree a good point 63

I'll ask again. Where are the goals coming from ?

It was a good point as we were crap. Therefore if we're not good enough to win, you take a point all day.

not denying its a issue and a concern 64 . i think at this moment in time we're desperately lacking confidence and ability on that front from all over the pitch. injuries as not helped but for me belongs as we're still creating chances sooner than later something will begin to click .
with the squad we currently have we're was never going to piss this league. i said in the summer we needed a gayle , still do but we haven't so i will support what we've got .
still fancy us to be there or there abouts tho even if we got to do it the arsenal way !

I think we played for and got the point. I doubt we'd have seen Eddie at all had Bamford not got injured

a point is better than none.
last year we thrown away silly points going gung ho for a win instead of shutting up shop and taking the point . forest away was a classic example.
maybe bringing on cooper at the end the penny might have finally dropped.

Said it elsewhere but it warrants saying again.
All the top 6 clubs in the past 5 games have had
2 wins 2 draws and 1 loss.

So if we demean ourselves as being terrible
then by the same logic the other top 5 contenders
are just as bad... or just as good.

Nobody is running away with this league
though to listen to the moans and groans
on here you would think we were worst off
than anybody else, and this is not the case.

Just saying!!!

It was the correct decision as we we're being bullied. Our players were bouncing off Mr Blobby all afternoon, Nuhiu has a bigger ar*e than Dawn French

We're moaning because there's still time to rectify the situation, rather than pretending it will just change overnight, like we clang on to last season.

I have never heard that moaning makes any situation better.
Moaners in all walks of life just turn people off, and if that
is their continuous modus operandi they just get tuned out
and they end up speaking into a vacuum... Then they really have
something to moan about since nobody is listening to them,
and that must be very frustrating for them.

Back in the summer folk were telling me we have a 25 a season goalscorer in Bamford when I was screaming from rooftops we required a prolific striker. We may just get 20 goals out of Eddie is he gets enough game-time

Gayle would have been ideal. Can't understand why we didn't take a punt on Jarrod Bowen at Hull who has knocked in eight goals playing in a poor side & is already way on course to beating his tally of 19 goals last season, he would have had a field day at Leeds, hard working player too as well as knowing where the net is.

Gayle will probably end up at the Hawthorns come January as they make a strong push for promotion & no doubt some lesser team will beat us to Bowen's signature.

I'm convinced if Bamford was playing for anyone else in the league, he'd be in double figures already. He can't handle the pressure. Whereas Nketiah comes from Arsenal and all the expectation and pressure, he's not afraid.

I'm still unconvinced, doesn't look a natural finisher to me

I agree.

Paddy's record before he came here was 1 in 2 and he hadnt always played as a striker.

Even last season with minutes played he had one of the best minutes to goal ratios in the league.

I think he is feeling the pressure and tbf to him he isnt the only member of our squad who cant handle it (last season was a case in point).

He needs more help, if others were doing more goal wise i think hed be ok but atm he is basically trying to score for the whole team as others arent contributing.

Ali Pablo and Eddie are the only 3 players with Paddy who have scored more then once, thats pathetic.

Dallas, Harrison, Costa, Klich, Forshaw etc they are as much to blame.

Some of them have missed some absolute sitters this season.

Cbs to not a goal between them, White missed a sitter the other day.

Others are just as much to blame.

Yes the rest of the team need to get their shooting boots on but Bamford has missed loads of glorious chances, also guilty of missing sitters

Although Ali is our only defender who looks likely to score goals he is also guilty of missing some guilt-edge chances

Four goals this season is nowhere near good enough for a striker that cost us £7m & the number of chances Paddy has squandered, he should have been in double-figures by now

We haven't got a single player in the top 25 championship goalscorers list

How bad is that

Actually cjay you are right. This team as a whole do not have goals in them and I repeat what I have said previously...the only way we will go up is because ATM we concede very few goals meaning we always have a good chance of 1 or more points per game .
