Bamford has a much different look about him than he did 6 weeks ago, now he looks confident, looks as though he wants the ball and wants to be involved in everything, pretty much the complete opposite as before.

Thought he was outstanding when he came on. Everything clicked into place with Paddy leading the line. Douglas also deserves some credit after coming on for the woeful Alioski.

There's a surprise. Knowing the club, they were banking on him being Nketiah's replacement, so hopefully it will force is into making a signing.

I was impressed with Douglas today. Hopefully he gets a chance to make that LB spot his again. I prefer Alioski coming off the bench with his energy running at tired defences.

Always been a fan of Douglas, hopefully he can cement the LB position, toughen us up defensively and become the set piece taker again. Should start v Arsenal but if we want to roll a team of kids out not really worth turning up at Highbury..

They'd get routed, the fans would call them s**t, not good enough and confidence would drop.

I'd start the first team but with Struijk for White, Berard for Ayling, Douglas for Alio, Messlier for Casilla. Bamford, Phillips, Costa, Harrison, Dallas should all start at a minimum

So much more happier with that performance today than the Birmingham game, hard to pick too many holes in our display even though we only got a point, we deserved more!

Nothing matters but promotion, and we will never have a better opportunity for that than we have right now. If we go up, the first teamers will have plenty of opportunities to play in that stadium.

I understand what you are saying BG but what help did losing to QPR, Newport or Sutton provide to our push for promotion?

I want to see experience getting provided for players but sending them out to lose provides the wrong sort.

Who knows? How much worse would we have done had we won and had to play the extra games?

Some of our players who have been logging a lot of minutes should really sit this one out. I'm thinkin' Klich, particularly. And some of the players with a few knocks should get some rest, too, like Bamford and his dead leg.

We can run a competitive team out there while still giving a rest to the players who most need it.

Arsenal looked very good today, by the way. They seem to be snapping out of their doldrums. Just in time for us.

We have to put the cup match into perspective, ....lets be honest our chance of winning the cup are slim to nothing, but on the other hand our chance to gain promotion is 30 times greater, so , if it was up to me, and it's not, I'd rest key players and go gung ho for the premiership...............just my opinion

Weird one.

We controlled possession, looked far more composed and limited WBA to breaks.

But WBA had more shots and Kiko was the busier keeper.

We looked more like the home side which would annoy me if i was a WBA fan.

They played better football at Elland Road.

In fairness they were missing Diangana who is quality, Ferguson to.

We were missing pur most effective creative player in Pablo which was obvious, creativity was lacking.

And no Shacks, Roberts or Forshaw.

Also, i wonder how the game would have gone if Paddy was fit to start?
