I could understand throwing the cups when in the Championship, as 46 games, but if we'd made the final, it'd only be a maximum of 45 games this season. What are we saving players for exactly?

It'll be interesting to see what Bielsa says after that because I have no idea what the teams objective was. If it was to rest players why put Harrison and Raphinio on? I actually don't think the players knew what formation they were supposed to be playing, but that doesn't excuse their disgraceful performance. There is nothing to take from that game apart from now knowing investment is desperately needed in the squad.

Yes, this is the worst one.
A Prem side losing 3-0 to a League 2 side is just ridiculous. Chelsea showed how it should be done.

His style over positions approach has bitten us before, the idea that the style will be enough, today was just bizarre.

As you say we had a winger at striker, a striker (Greenwood) in midfield somewhere, a left back at left cb, a left winger at left wing back, a cb at dm, a dm at cb, it was all utterly bizarre.

I called for MB to play a mixture of fringe players and under 23s and I still see the PL as our priority.
I still thought we should be able to put a team out to beat a League 2 side comfortably.
But that was beyond shocking.
That's an opportunity (like Hull in EFL Cup) for all those players to put their hand up and say "Hey, Bielsa get me in that first team."
Poveda kind of did that, but the rest, dear me.

Shacks, Davis, Struijk and probably Poveda (although i like him) should be on loan in the EFL really.

Getting 30 40 games a season, learning there craft.

Casey, Greenwood, Jenkins etc are academy level and probably need a season or 2 in League 2, the difference between them and fully grown league 2 men was huge.

Next season we need 4 or 5 new players without any doubt imo.

The team he picked was fine.

Indeed the first half wasn’t horrendous.

Lads just didn’t step up, where was the desperate urge to be in the team for the Brighton game?

He has been a great fit with Leeds both on and off the pitch.

He will take todays defeat hard though, and will agonise over the changes he made today.

I think Marcelo will now realise we are very weak beyond our First XI.

Time to move on in the summer or sooner if possible
