Tbf that Klich shaped hole in midfield has been there even when he has been on the pitch.

Cooper coming in has made the defence worse.
Ayling has been dreadful in possession also.
Dallas trying an embarrassing flop and gifting a chance.
Midfield is totally out of shape, huge gaps all over it.
Harrison has had a few chances to cross or play a decent pass and hasnt (and people wonder why some arent convinced).
We miss Klich and Struijk.
Casilla has flapped (made some ok saves but expected) the whole defence looks nervous

Well, the game's following the blueprint from the last encounter so far.
Need to turn up the heat from the first whistle in the second half and shred them.

We would look alot better if we didn't give the ball away so often.

Hopefully they will tire out but they should have scored at least twice.
Despite his flap and poor distribution Casilla has been our best player.

Was that a possible penalty on Ayling?
He seemed to head it poorly but then the defender knocked into him.
Maybe in clutching at straws!

Can see PB getting the hoof early again - Roberts will come on and Rodrigo will play as the 9.

Also, can we say that Southampton did well in the first half? I know there was some sloppy play from us at times but give credit where it's due eh?

I'd give it 15 minutes and if it's still not happening then either:
Take Bamford and move Rodrigo up and bring Shackleton on
OR
Take Rodrigo off, bring Struijk on and move Llorente into midfield to allow Phillips to push on a bit.

Only saw the last 15, but if the first 30 were as bad as that, I'm glad I showed up late.

Have to agree with the gaping holes in Midfield, its harping to early season when Kalvin was getting exposed. Why do we need Dallas on the right wing along with Raph, get him in the middle and involved, i don't like this system when we play effectively 3 CB we don't have any forward passes on in midfield cos it all get congested down the wings.
Raphs looking up for it when they can be bothered to pass to him, Bamford's dropped deep and won the ball back but feeding off scraps again up top. A disjointed almost labored performance so far but we still look like the team most likely to score even tho we haven't had a shot on target.
