Yeah its sad really. He's just not PL quality. Look what Joe did today first half. That's what we are looking for someone who can make things happen. The shape today was perfect first half don't change it for me.,

I agree with finnatic, given our makeshift team we put up a great effort against a mediocre team but with a new dynamic and costly manager and on home turf. But I would also add that Conte has a massive job on his hands to win anything with Spurs, they will always be 'Spurs'.

They did get a flukey goal but they hit the post 2 or 3 times as well, 2nd half the gulf in class was massive.
We were good 1st half but didn't create that much really, nothing clear cut which sums up our season really.
Their 2nd half was better than our 1st imo.

Every team are capable of outrunning us in 45 minutes of a game. The problem is we are set up to having to run more than every team we play, every week.
Wait and see how Spurs get on next week, they will be burnt out and probably lose, like so many we play. They all spare their maximum output for when they play us. It’s an issue for us.
We did look tired in the second half.

Tired of the excuses every week. We dominated Leicester and got a point, but it was a brilliant point because they are so amazing. Yet they're 12th.

Agree with you 100% but not everyone will. When that's all we've got coming off the bench then you wonder that's its inevitable that we will be relegated this year we have lo quality in this squad outside llorente Philips and Ralph. That's it rest are championship material at best

We have only been up one full season and spent a decent amount (FFP dictating what we can spend) so we are still needing to play Championship type players for a while yet. We can’t just replace the team by waving a wand.
They are doing ok and if we keep playing like we did for most of the game we will be ok.

Tell me what you was watching them. How did you view the first half?Scoobychief wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 6:43 pm Obviously leeds 1000 must have been watching a different game. By jolly lad what you're going be like when we're bottom at Christmas. You gonna say we're better than that.
And barring the fluky goal do you thing we deserved to lose.

How the hell did Regulon get man of the match. All he did was score a tap in.
We were robbed on the Kane handball. If the ball is prevented from going in by a hand regardless of position in relation to rest of the body it has to be a penalty. No doubt some ex-ref will say tomorrow how we should have had a penalty.
Annoyed at Klich on that first goal turning his back on the initial cross into the box. He should have blocked that cross or at least made a better effort. He is still our problem at the moment for me. He has only 45 mins of intensity within him these days. lack of options due to injury was part of the reason for our 2nd half drop off.

1st half admittedly we were the better team I was over the moon we went in 1 up. Second half spurs just started to play football and we crumbled and couldn't get anything going forward. Second half we allways looked like conceding that the game I was watching

KP just criticised our game management.
He ain't wrong
If you drop 10 points from winning positions that is a really concerning issue.
MB needs to earn his cash.

Not for me. Don't forget we are dealing with a £180m strikeforce. We were more than worthy of a draw and we played the better football throughout. A fluke is a fluke. I am proud of the lads tonight.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 6:46 pm They did get a flukey goal but they hit the post 2 or 3 times as well, 2nd half the gulf in class was massive.

Anyone see KP on sky?
They just mentioned this and I thought similar.
Kp really looked like he wanted to say more when asked about his position and what went wrong
He gave it real thought before speaking.
*disclaimer*
This isn't a sack Bielsa post.
But it did make me wonder how.long the players will put up with being ran ragged in training and being told to attack attack attack and then keep dropping points.
Will they start to lose faith?
I know I will probably get yelled at for this but KP gave the impression of being a but annoyed at certain aspects of the tactics and performance
Just made me think
Is frustration creeping in?

Totally true!
When you see he coming on, you just feel the exasperation rise up in you. You know he’s not going to score, he won’t open a defence and he will lose or give away possession so easily at times.

That's KP dropped then . No doubt on his way now. He looked very uncomfortable in that interview .Cjay wrote:KP just criticised our game management.

I would be calling for Conte head if i had watched that as a natural. We battered them. Is anyone taking into consideration the £180 million strikeforce? Or are we just supposed to play every side of the park? They got luck and i am sure any honest Spurs fan would tell you that.

Fans get frustrated by poor decision making, so why wouldn't players?Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 6:58 pm Anyone see KP on sky?
