Burnley weren't great, Swannie.

Even though we were one down, we were far the better side in the first-half.

Burnley defended well, also producing all the dirty tricks in order to maintain their lead, such as blatant time-wasting, cynical fouls & feigning injuries, the usual stuff that frustrates our team & fans.

Have to say the referee was awful once again.

After saying all that, we take the limited chances we created, two one on ones, we'd win the game.

My granny could have scored the opportunities Joseph & Gnonto had.

The pass from Aaronson for Gnonto's miss was delightful.

Mateo Joseph one goal in five games.

Missed three glaring scoring opportunities so far.

Struggling to think of any chances we created other than the one Gnonto should have scored from 1st half and in over 100 minutes of football that’s simply not good enough.

Playing slowly back and across is only justifiable when we win the game and we were a million miles away from winning that one yesterday despite 72% possession.

Why did we bring Rothwell & Piroe on as first changes when we’re crying out for Ramazani to come on much earlier than he did.

Lots of questions for Farke to answer because at he moment he’s managing by numbers and not seeing the game out there on the pitch and reacting accordingly.

Substitutions were poor!

We generally become poor when we disrupt our main starting XI.

Bringing on Piroe & Rothwell on didn't help our cause replacing the energy of Ampadu & Aaronson, when we needed to up our game with pace & direct movement.

Piroe had seven touches in 25 minutes.

All points thrown away due to lack of being decisive enough in front of goal! We need this to happen as soon as possible! Shame that we didn't at least share the points with the penalty which wasn't given.
I know he's not a Leeds player anymore! But we are definitely going to need another decent playmaker, assist king . Did anyone see how well Georgino did at BHA. We need fast replacement .

Just wondering if all the fall out from a meaningless 0-3 Carabao Cup defeat played on Farke’s mind and stopped him throwing the kitchen sink at it yesterday ?

As per last season we will win far more than we lose because of the players we have.

Hard to sack a manager under these circumstances.

However the club has to be brave if things are heading in a similar direction to last season ie the performances are just, well, stumbling along.

I was wondering after the Hull game how long it would take before Joseph came under scrutiny.

A bad miss ( and it was a chance you would expect your 9 to dispatch) I skirted over some mumbo jumbo post about the chance not being as easy as the one the Burnley player put away. Joseph had time, space, what he didn’t have in that moment was composure.

Personally, I would not even consider dropping him. His all round game is excellent at this level and I am confident he will score goals. But he was over hyped by quite a few based upon two goals against Chelsea in a cup game.

Different pressure in this league with a big home crowd and the weight of expectation.

Issue is I doubt we will ever be bad enough to make it obvious to outsiders the manager needs to go.

We still have a better squad than probably 90% of the league and that will sustain in all liklihood an on the surface respectable points total.

But dig deeper and it's grim.

4 wins in 15 in all competitions.

16 points from our last 15 games in all competitions (including playoffs and cups).

Or 11 points from our last 10 league games.

For comparison Heckingbottom here got 16 points from 16 games.

Our form has been relegation level for a while but because its spread out over 2 seasons it doesn't look as bad on the surface

We won't be bringing any replacements before January, and I wouldn't hold my breath on making any influential signings in Jan '25.

If we take the last 11 League games then form is poor.

So no denying there is a potential pattern that the board needs to keep an eye on.

However it's a new season with new players to integrate and that means there needs to be some appreciation of the process. Farke wasn't responsible for our late transfer business and the core players who did the pre season were generally our less creative ones so understandable there's work to be done. Also losing the flair of Rutter and the goals of Summerville was always going to be a challenge that would likely see us take a step back before hopefully improving for the remainder of the season.

I immediately turned round to my kop mates & said I can't see us getting back into this game.

If only......we should have been leading at half-time with the two glorious chances missed & the penalty denied, our errors led to our downfall, after what was a difficult week for much of our first-team players away on international duty.
