The tap in Piroe missed, if Solomon was in form, he'd have had a better touch and scored it himself.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 2:58 pm Thrashing the same players last season all season went well . . . .
Rutter and Summerville especially were knackered.
Aaronson has 1 goal in 12 games
Solomon has 0 in 4.
James has 3 assists but 0 goals in 4 now.
If Piroe is having a bad finishing day like today those 3 for all the good they do aren't atm likely to fill in the gaps.
Aaronson and his 1 goal 0 assists in 12 is bonkers.
It's exactly the same as Mateo Joseph who gets absolutely hammered but has played far fewer minutes in that time.
Ramazani and Gnonto looked like two players who have barely played (we saw this last season).
I see the Farke fanboys are now declaring Gnonto and Ramazani aren't good enough, just like Joffy and Cresswell supposedly weren't.

True but so could they. All they had was to get the ball to their wingers, so much space and we were in trouble
Still top Wednesday night to come no problem

I wondered when that might be mentioned.
It’s been alluded to before. I don’t necessarily agree with it but the downward trend in performance is a credible argument I suppose. Depends how you care to spin recent results

They both have games at home v motivated rivals though. However I’m absolutely certain SU will win.

fatalism: noun
Acceptance of the belief that all events are predetermined and inevitable.
The doctrine that all things are subject to fate, or that they take place by inevitable necessity.
Reacting to a Leeds United defeat with fatalism and comparisons to past mistakes is unhelpful because it ignores the specifics of the current season. A season when all our defeats have been 1-0. If we were being hammered like the 4-0 against QPR last season that would be a trumpet call for all of the moaning minnies to come out of the woodwork.
While past failures, such as not investing in January or overworking players, may be harped on about, and only states the obvious, only masochists interested in inflicting self harm dwell on these previous declines.
Assuming history will always repeat itself disregards the nuances of the present squad, management, and the circumstances involving the other teams challenging for promotion. Every season has unique challenges, and reacting emotionally can cloud judgment on what genuinely needs improvement.
Additionally, this mindset can create unnecessary negativity that affects both players and fans. Football is unpredictable, and no club operates flawlessly in the transfer market or squad rotation.
While learning from past errors is important, assuming Leeds is doomed to repeat them ignores progress made under the current management. A more balanced approach, assessing performances objectively and addressing concerns without panic, helps maintain stability and focus rather than spiraling into defeatism... which always seems to happen after a defeat and a wet fart of a goal.
despair: intransitive verb
To lose all hope.
To be overcome by a sense of futility or defeat.
To be hopeless; to have no hope; to give up all hope or expectation.
Despair will get you nowhere.
Acceptance of the belief that all events are predetermined and inevitable.

There are no certainties in this game, expect the unexpected, you don't have to be the better team, just want it enough and don't overcomplicate.

You are quite correct - the early kick-offs should be shared equally by the clubs in the division. Obviously Sky rule the roost and as Leeds are the most watched Club they always choose us for the early starts - mainly to suit their customers on the Continent. Also why give us premier league referees ? A championship ref would have awarded the penalty but the premier league ref did not as he was probably still relying on VAR to call him to the screen.

By kick off on Wednesday night, we could be staring at the prospect of facing Lampard's Coventry team in the play-off final! And we know what would happen there..
Still a lot of points needed before we can celebrate promotion.

No need to panic, it says on the internet that Bambi is fit again and back in full training so it may not be long before we can rejoice in watching him miss a succession of tap-ins. God willing he will injure himself training or maybe one of the others will do it for him.

I think it's a double edged sword.
On the one hand you applaud the character and fight of a last minute win maybe when for much of the game it wasn't on.
On the other hand you realise below par performances and last minute winners won't sustain indefinitely and you do need to find some performances again.

That came as an after thought I added in at the end... a neat way of summarizing. Usually you have to process a thought fully before you can encapsulated in a nutshell.

Just think pressure plays a part and maybe some fatigue?
Piroe, James, Aaronson and Solomon have barely had a rest between them for ages.
I'd like to see Rama and Gnonto given more of a chance now, we know they are good enough they have just barely played for months, rusty.
