Strange line up, 4 centre mids, only real winger off at the half (not a criticism, wise move I think as I thought we had the game wrapped up after we got the second) Don't think that will work against the top 12 teams in the division

I do think Nuno will get West Ham playing better but no pre season for him and no pace in the team (only Cry really) will mean he's got his work cut out and it may take a while

We bring these situations on ourselves, Swannie.

Backwards/sideways football.
Poor retention of the ball.
Marking fresh air at the back.
Our shooting is abysmal, more missed chances.
Lack of quality in certain positions.

There was a situation where we had a free-kick ten yards from the corner flag, a great opportunity to waste time in the final minutes. We didn't have one man in their box & immediately gave the ball back to them, allowing West Ham to progress forward into our half with ease, so frustrating!

Same line-up they played against Brentford (I think)

Two poor teams!

Fortunately, West Ham are worse than us.

We seem to have more fight in our bellies. Our game is all about hard work & endeavour!

After a quick perusal of the thread.

Bijol is doing written off already.

I thought he did just fine, in fact on one occasion he pulled off a great tackle when their guy was about to unleash from 12 yards. Clean as a whistle when a pen would have been awarded if he had touched him. Great timing makes up for a lack of pace sometimes.

How many actual chances did WH create in the second half?

Yes I thought he did well and certainly brings presence to the back 4. Pascal is a better footballer but it’s about pragmatism and survival at the moment.

Would Arsenal have scored 5 if Bijol started that day - maybe only 3. Though we were beaten all over the pitch and on the sideline that day.

Thanks, I counted one and it was their goal.

Which is vindication for the approach the team took in the second half.

Compare that with WH opening us up at least four times in the first when we stretched the game.
So our tactics made up for our lack of quality. That's one up to Farke.

That’s a reflection of how poor WH are.
We took our foot off the gas to defend the lead. Better teams would have punished us.
Leeds fans were certainly punished having to unnecessarily live on the edge of their seats.

That second half was hard to watch and both teams looked poor.

He does, and we have a team full of players who do that. He also wins lots of aerial duels, but the opposition just stand off him to pick up the second ball.

He's slow, lacks creativity and needs chances put on a plate. Even when they are put on a plate he's not scoring.

With the team we have we were never gonna create lots of chances, so we need to be clinical and DCL is not that.

We're doing well running and holding the ball but there is no creativity and no cutting edge.

Mate have you forgotten where we are and the players we have?
Better teams will punish us, we can't change that, which is why when you sense a win you take it.
We did the job. WH have more good players than we do, but they are disorganised whereas we have order.

As for the bolded bit Leeds have been punishing me for over 50 years. Its my choice. Like those in the ground I don't have to be interested. Its on us.

No playmaker Leon.

Ampadu made some great runs up the pitch and then goes into panic mode, Longstaff does the same.

With nobody to make us tick and no cutting edge we are not going to make the possession we do get count.

Poor recruitment and I'm sure Farke is frustrated with how poorly we did in the summer.

It's gonna be like this, fighting and scraping for every point until we get better players in, that might happen next summer but on the condition that we stay up and boot our useless recruitment team.

They were actually celebrating the fact that we almost recruited Igor Paixao, which is pathetic and embarrassing.

Remember Bogle when he first started playing he was written off because people were saying that he couldn't defend.

Leeds fans need someone to pick on, last week it was Aaronson, but he scores a goal and hits the bar and now the sun shines out his arse.

Bijol is now the flavour of the month, even though he put in a great tackle to pinch the ball off Wilson's toes in the 6 yard box. Perri just needs to let in a few howlers, and there will be an outcry to get Meslier between the sticks.

Form bounces fans about like a rubber ball.

That cold comfort of negativity is back out again this season isn’t it. It’s a long tough season, there will be ample time for disappointment, recriminations and misery, I’ll take a nice 3 points to warm my weekend instead.

Yeah, you would think that becuase it has been so difficult for Leeds for so many years now the mentality would have changed a bit.

Maybe being a long life Northern Ireland fan has helped me have a more realistic outlook.

Other than all that are you enjoying the team back in the prem, I ask because I haven’t seen or recall one comment which has even the slightest element of positivity this season.
