So no denying there is a potential pattern that the board needs to keep an eye on.

However it's a new season with new players to integrate and that means there needs to be some appreciation of the process. Farke wasn't responsible for our late transfer business and the core players who did the pre season were generally our less creative ones so understandable there's work to be done. Also losing the flair of Rutter and the goals of Summerville was always going to be a challenge that would likely see us take a step back before hopefully improving for the remainder of the season.
Perhaps.

But him winning 2 of last 9 last season is the cause of all of this anyway.

He's made and been allowed a plethora of excuses.

He needs to show he's learned lessons, very little evidence so far.

I dont see in any way why people are blaming Farke. I think he has done an excellent job since he came, in very difficult circumstances. We all know the problems he walked into last season, he steadied the ship and got us top of the league with just a few games to go. Unfortunately the players bottled it when the pressure was on. This season he was not responsible for us having the star players ripped from our team, and having them replaced with ones a quarter of the value. You gets what you pays for. Then yesterday, the usual story of missed chances cost us. If Joseph had have taken that early chance it would have been a completely different game, Burnley having to chase it. I think sacking Farke would be a decision we would rue in hindsight.

Why stop a match during the game?

We'd already had a minute's applause for Sol Bamba, prior to kick-off.

Football has gone crazy!!!!

Whatever next?
I wonder about those. They're great tributes. But they're cumulative - meaning there will always be more and more.

All these moments should be acknowledged before the game or with black arm bands. We can do special commemorations before the game or at half time.

Speaking of which, did you see the farce over Burnley wasting time at a throw in? The ref warned the throw in taker about wasting time. Then he took the throw in, it went to a Leeds player. Advantage us, time wasting nullified. But the ref blew and ordered the throw retaken from further back. It's ludicrous sometimes. The Burnley player may have wasted 30 seconds. The referee himself wasted at least another 30 seconds by being pedantic.

No real urgency. I’d expect a big performance v Cardiff.

I don't think it's meant to be that way. Gruev is getting further forward than he did last season. I would argue that he seems to have better creativity than Kamara. But he's still not the ideal at number 8. Would hope to see more cutting edge from Rothwell. But haven't seen it yet.

Yeah. I take all my Leeds advice from Jacob Horseshit on Twitter. Maybe we should appoint him as DoF

Rodon as the lone man back on corners sounds like a red card waiting to happen

Seriously though for someone so dominant, you'd expect him to be more productive in the opposition box. I think that (and my previous sentence) is down to composure. Something that could improve in his game. It's telling that we see such a passionate fired up individual, but he wasn't chosen as one of the 3 captains.

A bad miss ( and it was a chance you would expect your 9 to dispatch) I skirted over some mumbo jumbo post about the chance not being as easy as the one the Burnley player put away. Joseph had time, space, what he didn’t have in that moment was composure.

Personally, I would not even consider dropping him. His all round game is excellent at this level and I am confident he will score goals. But he was over hyped by quite a few based upon two goals against Chelsea in a cup game.

Different pressure in this league with a big home crowd and the weight of expectation.
I think with Joseph it just comes down to maturity and experience. And the confidence of having a few goals in the bag.

Someone mentioned earlier that our best finisher was on the bench. But he offers us nothing in all round play. Joseph's all round play is fantastic. He's competitive in the middle of the field, competes in wide areas and gets crosses in. He is a good finisher. He's shown it in our reserves and for Spain U21s. I think he just needs the confidence boost of a couple of goals to make it at this level.

Farke has had to deal with a lot of chaos in 14 months. Full credit to him that he's shaped this thing together. But I do agree with many that we should be showing more with the talented group we have. And I do agree that we should be putting lesser teams under much greater pressure. But I do prefer the stability we have with Farke at the helm than rolling the dice again.

And there's the key sentence, some would say the manager bottled it with negative play safe tactics, poor subs and poor team selection.. Buck has to stop at the manager for me, players play the way he wants them too...

So many aspects of modern football I dislike these days, I despair to be honest, Andrew.

Whatever happened to the beautiful game we once knew?

We have new talent still to be unwrapped, the game needs changing and we bring on Joe f**king Rothwell after 70 minutes.

Ridiculous, .....looks like a Sunday league player and brings back memories of Sean Gregan. If Farke is sacked his s**t substitutions will have contributed to it, In this game and the Pompey game he killed the game with our own subs.

I'm told Rodon is a good tackler, and very quick ( I don't disagree tbf) so seems to be an ideal candidate to stay around the half way line. Need two, at least, sitting back IMO, Gruev could be the other

Missed three glaring scoring opportunities so far.
Out of interest what are your expectations this season of a 20 year old kid, learning his trade, who has only just been given the chance to become the first choice for the striker role in the team and we are 5 games into the new season? Just curious

When you put it so succinctly I'm inclined to agree.

Overall Farke has handled all the drama and nonsense that comes with managing our club very well but unless he learns from his errors he'll soon be out of a job.

However for what it's worth I think we'll be starting next season in the PL with Daniel as our manager.

Would you agree players can have bad days, play poorly ? If that happens then they are not playing the way the manager wants them to.

I would but not all at once. Good teams will overcome off performances from a couple of players, if the whole team has an off day that's on the manager.. Luck is a different argument.
