I would suggest, but it's open for debate, that we don't need to sign a #10 in this window. Another useful #9 would be great to provide cover for our two injury prone strikers. But until we strengthen our fullbacks and switch to 4 at the back there is no reason to go out and buy a playmaker. I see us primarily back in the 3-4-2-1 again this season. With Okafor, Wilson, Aaronson, Gnonto, and James (In that order) to cover those two attacking spots.

Could well be. But we did see some interesting experiments in the pre-season games. Rodon spoke about them practicing less rigid formation and focusing more on filling spaces.

I am hopeful Wilson gets some goals like he did last season. He is clearly still getting used to the style of play, but looked better against Augsburg. I rate him, he reads the game very well.

I do think we need a striker option. You're probably right about a 10.

I would be happy going with the defensive line up we have now, simply because we have players who can easily play multiple positions and we have good wingback options.

All in all its going to be an interesting start to the season.
Farke's team tend to start slowly. Hopefully this season is different.

For me a four year contract is far to long Rodon like Bogle are players that providing we stay in the premiership they are both players that we should look to upgrade .

2 yr extension basically. Rodon is one of the best CB's in the division so 4 years is fine there. He'll be a quality starter for 2/3 of those and a top class back up if not. Bogle is very under rated here, he's just turned 26 and has 3-4 years of prime left. The issue is nopt the length of contract but if they got overpaid. But as they're extensions I'd assume similar salary and a nice signing bonus

Rodon out for eight to ten weeks with a serious hamstring injury. So back mid November, missing Brighton, Newcastle, Palace, Arsenal, Man United, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Spurs in the league probably plus Chelsea in the cup.

To be honest I knew he'd be out for a while the way he reacted when he was injured but that's a lot long than I expected. Luckily I think we will have good cover going forwards now

Disappointing news, but that's why you need, and we have, depth. SH makes a good point re missing his pace, though.
