All the shots were comfortable saves, only maybe the Barnes chance at his near post, but again he should save that.

Take the two extra points from today, if you feel it should have been a draw, and add it to the two extra points we should have had against Arsenal = 20 points - no difference.

we won BIG it was a TOTAL victory. GREATEST goalkeeper in the premiership SOLID defense MAGNIFICENT midfield.
They scored a fake goal and we won a huge penalty and scored... it was the best penalty in all of premiership history.
Drippy Drawers Dozy Dyche will be FIRED for that performance. Complain complain complain was all he did... so many shots on target and not a single goal... stupid substitutions which were ineffective... so many free kicks and corners yet could not make anything from them. The whole team needs to be sacked. That performance was abysmal and shocking. If they continue playing like that they will be relegation fodder.

That's how it goes Finn.
Decisions went against us earlier in the season, today and Newcastle we get away with them.

Rodrigo and Klich were shocking today I thought. Raphinha was strange as he always tracks back.

Phillips comfortably MOTM for me, we see it the same and I'm not sure we can keep giving up the middle ground. Klich so much better playing centre line and beyond, he can defend but not a full time defender and not great when players are running at him...He basically filled in for Phillips todayYorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 2:03 pm The media wanted pragmatism from Bielsa and that's what he gave them. Dyche forced him by putting 2/3 up front meaning Phillips slotted in. I thought Phillips played well, as did the other two but it does bring teams onto us more. Almost abandoned the centre of midfield and Klich has so much to do with Rodrigo playing almost as a false 9.
Rodrigo isnt a true 10 in this system as you say he's a false 9 and it feels like we have two players playing the same position.
So in a normal Leeds set up using Pablo as a 10 you have a 4 pushing up, an 8 playing with freedom and a 10 coming back, plus with Ayling as the wing back you have a 2 getting into the centre of midfield to make a third there when needed that means we control the midfield and we see the chances created and the possession high.
Today we gave that up due to the lack of warm bodies in defence. We may have to continue to play like this until we get Coop/Llorente playing as a team in defence

More than happy to take the 3 pints against a well established PL team. Burnley play ugly. They make it difficult for a lot of teams. We beat them and we're 7 points ahead of them. It's 6 am. I'm going back to bed happy.

As I said before, we were massively overdue some luck. Dodgy penalty v Liverpool, Wolves deflected goal, Pablo hits the post v Leicester, hit the post 3 times against Arsenal etc.

Dyche can't shut up about the call, either. Bielsa would never complain this way. Another reason why I'm glad he's our guy.

Well the media 'experts' say we need to play like Burnley, yet we're 7 points above them and beat them at their own game.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 2:11 pm More than happy to take the 3 pints against a well established PL team. Phew, bit nerve racking at times but the lads dug in and battled admirably and the 3 points are all that matters. Thought Philips was imense followed by Ayling and Bamford, always never stopped grafting. Pitch is a bit of a mess with slips and trips galore, especially Rodrigo who needs to order some longer studs now he's plying his trade in the NOE. Klich very disappointing for me, maybe needs a rest for the next game? Gotta agree with an earlier post that Taylor would be very useful but he made his choice so can go f**k off and get relegated.
